Sweater I Jeans I Bag I Shoes

Would you like to know what we, here at the TME are actually wearing? Because of this job I’m often trying new things, putting myself in different situations and thinking about how to wear things. But more often than not, I’m always in some kind of uniform that takes me from school drop off, to the park or library with the baby, back home to work while he naps, then to school pick up, and home for dinner-making, and to karate, etc.,

One of my everyday go-to looks is my straight-leg Levi’s, a pretty sweater and sneakers. My top layer often changes, it could be my biker leather or favorite suede jacket. However, we’ve had some colder days — and today it’s snowing! NOOOOOO! #notreadyforyouwinter so I reach for something else. I have a little confession here…I hate puffer and parka coats! So much… Maybe I just haven’t found one I love? The truth is I don’t feel stylish in them, and they are always a last resource type-of-thing when it’s snowing or extremely cold.

When it’s not, I believe the perfect piece to wear over anything and still be warm is a tailored coat. If it’s camel, even better. I wear it over leggings and a hoodie, jeans, and well — also over dressier outfits.

The cold weather is coming (yikes!), so it's time for the perfect, casual fall-to-winter transition momiform we can layer & still look put together.

So here it is, what I’m wearing right now while transitioning to winter. When winter comes, I change the sneakers for ankle boots that go well above the ankle, plus warm socks and a Uniqlo HEATTECH tee layered under my sweater. What’s your go-to outfit while transitioning to winter?

Outfit Details

Sweater – (Wearing XXS) Size down. Those stripes, those colors caught my eye the minute I saw it. It’s soft and warm and the hem is curved. With jeans, I tuck it in the front and back, but it looks awesome with leggings.

Jeans – Favorite pair of jeans under $100. Size down for a perfect fit. It takes some time for them to stretch, but it’s worth it.

Bag – In case you haven’t noticed, I don’t really do backpacks. I like fancier bags that take my casual outfits to another level. This satchel is spacious and looks awesome. It’s the “putty” color.

Shoes – Will never regret getting these with gold stripes. There’s also a pair with leopard print ones. Size down!

Coat – (similar) Take a look at it! I actually got mine from the same retailer years ago and the quality has been amazing.
