Some of the comments I’ve read lately have left me really yearning for some HOT weather. Â Comments like, “why do you need to wear a jacket with shorts” or “why are you wearing sweatpants in June?” probably come from readers who have never been to Marquette. Â It’s cold here . . . for a really long time. Â The winters get really, really long. Â But. Â Marquette is also one of the most gorgeous places you’ll ever see.
We recently we went down to the lake (Lake Superior) to where a friend’s boat is docked for the summer and I fell in love with our little city all over again.  I found myself wearing my most recent “uniform” again: Cute sweats + graphic tee + sneaks + leather jacket.  I’ve been wearing this one on repeat.  (I add lipstick for a little fancy.)
Wearing:
Alternative Camo Joggers, more sizes available here and more colors here.  I’m wearing a size medium and may have been able to get away with a small, but I liked the looser fit.
Topshop Faux Leather Biker Jacket: I LOVE this jacket . . . and wear it allllll the time.
Steve Madden Sneaks (similar and I’m currently drooling over these cute sneaks)
Wifey T-shirt: this is probably my most-worn t-shirt. Â It’s so soft and fits perfectly. Â LOVE.
Lorac Alter Ego Lip Pencil & Lip Gloss in Dominatrix:Â Sometimes I like the finish of a liner + gloss over a lipstick . . . it’s shiny (less drying), the color is a bit less intense, and it’s easier to reapply gloss than lipstick.
Also, some of you guys asked about my hair . . . it’s kind of pink! I put Overtone Pink Conditioner in it every once in awhile when I’m feeling the need for a change (but not a permanent one).  It slowly washes out unless you keep using it.  I’ve used purple and pink before and they’re both a fun temporary change!
G’s outfit is from H&M (old) and these joggers with this sweatshirt would be adorable!

Another one to try is Prairie Underground Shrug sweatpant. Great company, made in Seattle with organic cotton. Their clothes are very well made and last a long time. They really excell at leisure wear that doesn’t look “athleisure”.
I have a love of camo, moto jackets, and graphic t-shirts, so this look is great! Going to try it out for sure 🙂
Lucy’s Indigo line is great too!
Any suggestions on styles of sweatpants or joggers for those who need to add more volume to their bottom half to visually balance a broad upper body???
Hey Scotti! What is your tee-shirt size for reference? Do they run big/small/true?
