It’s A White Jeans Try-On Sesh: AGOLDE & Levi’s

I just gave away the only pair of white jeans I had to my sister. They didn’t fit me anymore. Also, they were skinny, and white skinny jeans are…..hard, right? They look great on my sister, though. With the vacant space they left in my closet, I started finding a replacement.

But will that replacement be white skinnies? Probably not.

I made four different orders in various shades of white jeans — because a cream or ivory is sometimes better — and got one to three sizes to try on, per style. See the five I tried in the video above and I’ll break each of them down for you below…

1. AGOLDE Remy High Rise Straight ($168)

Do you have slim, long legs? These might be for you. One review says they run big. I tried three different sizes — one size down, my regular size, and one size up — and none of them fit. Not on my calves, thighs, or hips which is something that happens often. I decided not to order in a bigger size as they don’t seem to be made for my body type. Seriously, these would be great if you have long, slim legs!

Fabric Composition: 100% Cotton

Rise: 11″

Sizing: Run small. Go up 1-2 sizes — it really depends on your body.

2. AGOLDE Pinch Waist High Rise ($100)

Act fast cause these are selling out. “They’re so soft”, I said the minute I put them on, and then, I loved the fit. Just look at my face in the video. These are perfect if you have a natural long rise, small waist and want something that hugs your curves without any constriction. On the tall model, these are more of a cropped flare, but on my 5’2″ height, they’re regular length — which I like to get that long leg effect.

Color: Vinegar, which is a beautiful soft white.

Fabric composition: 98% cotton, 2% stretch

Rise: 11.5″. It covers my bellybutton!!! Great if you have a long rise waist.

Sizing: Run TTS, but go down one for a snugger fit. I’m wearing my regular size here, but just ordered one down to see how they fit. Even with 2″ of elastane, these might give with wear.

3. Levi’s Wedgie Icon Fit ($98)

You can always trust a pair of Levi’s Wedgies to give you a nice bum. I’m not big on pure white jeans and always prefer an ivory version, so needless to say, I love this color….it goes better with my closet. The cotton on this pair felt very raw, and that might explain why I ended up with a pair two sizes bigger.

Color: Ecru. When you first see these, you think the color could be too dark but once you put them on and pair with other things, it looks very chic. This color is especially great for those who wear warmer colors.

Fabric Composition: 100% cotton

Rise: 10″ rise. Perfect for shorter torsos or if you don’t like super high-rise.

Sizing: If I kept them, I’d go one size up and do the break-in process. I fear that going two sizes up might get too baggy.

4. Levi’s Wedgie Straight ($98)

Are you petite? These are the perfect ankle length for Petites — no need to hack them off. The color is a cooler white, but the biggest difference between these and the Icon Wedgies is this fabric has stretch, making them softer and more comfortable since the first time I put them on. My husband liked them a lot, but I still needed a size up so they went back.

Fabric Composition: 97% cotton, 2% polyester, 1% elastane

Rise: 10″ rise. Perfect for shorter torsos or if you don’t like super high-rise.

Sizing: They seem true-to-size if you have slimmer hips and thighs. Otherwise, size up one. I’m wearing my regular size, but it felt very tight on my thighs and hips.

5. Levi’s 501 Crop ($98)

Similar to those Wedgie Icons, right? These look like they have a longer rise than the first Wedgies, but it’s only because the zipper is longer. The color is similar to the first Wedgie pair, too and very beautiful and versatile on. This style is a little more relaxed than the Wedgie.

Fabric Composition: 100% cotton

Rise: 10″ rise. Perfect for shorter torsos or if you don’t like super high-rise.

Sizing: I found these TTS for me, but if you have slimmer hips and thighs, sizing down could be an option. The waist is wide enough. If you feel they’re slightly tight at first, just squat, lounge and sit for 10 minutes and you’ll feel the difference.

White Jeans Try-On: The Verdict

The winner for me was the AGOLDE pair that actually fit. Followed by the White Wedgie Straights then the neutral 501s. But as always, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder and all bodies are different. Which one would you choose? Ps. Did you like the format of the video? In a recent call with Shana, I mentioned how fun it was for me to make videos. I’m all over TikTok, and I want to incorporate some of that in my posts here. Not on TikTok? Let’s hang out on IG (@julietatorresd). What would you like to see next?
