Madewell’s Pull-On Jeans? Yep. They’re GOOD.

Hi. Somedays…the outfits are on-point…the facial expressions…are not. Hahaha. (See below.)

My. New. Favs: Madewell Relaxed Pull-On Jeans

BUT…these freaking pull-on, elastic waist Madewell jeans are bomb. I know what you’re thinking: there’s no way they could be awesome? They have an elasticated waist? Guess what…they are. Soft soft without being thin, structured but not uncomfortable and…dare I say…flattering in a slouchy jean kind o’ way. I know. So good.

As much as I love jeans, I’m wearing them in shorter stints right now, unlike all day everyday in pre-pandemic life. So, transitional jeans, as I’m coining these pull-on jeans, are my new fav.

So yeah…the fabric is heavy enough to be structured and not stretch out, but soft enough to be super comfy. I convinced my friend Posy to get them recently, and she adores them, too. I’ll have to make her let me share a pic on social! (Update: she did! See her rocking them here.)

Also, this Wsly tank is so so good. Just long enough to wear with all my pants and jeans without being too long to have to tuck or too short to show my midsection. It’s also at Amazon in more colors. It’s weird, the white one fits smaller than the black (seems like it’s due to the seaming) but may relax with wear. The black one is my fav new tank ever and is so perfect. The white one is more see-thru and I totally am going to rock the black bra and slouchy jeans for a ’90s throwback this summer. Yessss.

Fit notes: Wearing a small here in the jeans. The waist is nice and high, but since its drawstring, it can kinda be adjusted (I have the drawstring tucked in here.) The jeans fit a little big but are so comfy, plus that cool slouchy that’s just slouchy enough. They relax just a bit with wear but don’t bag out. I would say if you’re between sizes though and don’t have a lot of curves, you could size down. Madewell offers these in a bit wider range than Nordstrom does, XXS – XXL, though some sizes seem to be selling quickly!

Also of note…this sweatshirt (slightly shrunken fit) that I cannot stop wearing. Love love. It’s created using recycled materials, part of Madewell’s newer MWL line (see my review here). So cute. It is the perfect length, so soft and cozy.

After having so many failed attempts at finding denim joggers earlier this year, I’m so stoked about these jeans! I honestly thought I would hate them, but was like “well, after so many strikeouts, why not?” Try and try again? Isn’t that what they say? So glad I did.

Have you tried these yet? Or anything like them? I’m not quite on the full-length jean trend again, but these slouchy bad boys I can get down with!

xo,

L

  1. I bought the jeans a couple of weeks ago… they run big, for real. I’m a 29 in jeans mostly and in between an M/L for bottoms…. I got the M in these and they were kinda big in the waist and front area. So comfy, so, so comfy and they looked cute! I just couldn’t justfiy keeping them when I have other lovely loose-fitting boyfriend/girlfriend jeans. They’re really good though.

    • Thanks so much, Melissa! Sometimes it’s so hard to tell how they’re gonna be until I just order them up and try them haha.

  2. Curious how these fit on other folks in the tush? This fit feels great on me sized down a size but they aren’t super cute from behind. Do I just need to adjust expectations with looser fitting jeans?

    • I’ll agree they aren’t the most booty flattering pair ever, but to me it’s ok for the comfort level! And the fact that they’re intentionally slouchy.

  3. I ordered the Wsly tank in white and already have gone back for the black. The cut is so flattering! I have been looking everywhere for quality tanks, and these really are wonderful. No back rolls, and they look great with my long summer skirts. Thanks for the find!
