This Dot Mesh Bodysuit: A Little Bit Sexy…VERY Comfy

Finding the perfect coat or shoes is one thing. Finding the perfect base is another. 9 times out of 10, as a reader pointed out recently, that coat comes off for work, dinner or parties and what you’re wearing underneath quickly becomes the star of the show.

So when Tamar – founder of TUXE Bodywear and a dear friend – sent over this gorgous dot mesh bodysuit, I knew this was a piece with starpower.  Show off a little bit of dot for just a hint of fun….or layer over a longline bralette and go nuts.   Truth be told, the bodysuit has enough pow to dress up a turtleneck – just roll the sleeves and let the dots shine.

Here are two ways I’m rocking the dots, both a little and a lot.

Dots + Sweater Vests

I love how this sounds like a total disaster.

Wearing

Top – TUXE Vanguard Bodysuit – wearing an XS

Sweater – Old, Trouve. Try this Sleeveless Tunic by Halogen.

Jacket – Fleurette Wool Stand Collar Car Coat – wearing a size 0

Jeans – AG ‘The Legging’ Ankle Jean – size 25 for reference

Shoes – VINCE. Claire d’Orsay Pump – on sale!!

Bag – My own. This clutch is similar – snag it before it’s gone!!  These feather clutches look good with EVERYTHING.

Dots + Overalls

I can’t quite quit the bibs.  This would be a fun (and totally unexpected) NYE look.

Wearing

Top – TUXE Vanguard Bodysuit

Bralette – old Free People….this Free People Halter Bralette would work, or this pretty bra/cami thing or heck!  Just wear over a black bikini top!

Overalls – Paige Tavie Flare Overall – on sale!

These bodysuits have a way with transition – it’s right in their design. And this Vanguard bodysuit is a fun one. If you are feeling even more daring than I (I am, of course, talking about the SSS, or ‘soft stomach situation’),  pair it with a long-line bralette, a great jacket, and wait for the applause.

xo,

  1. I don’t think I am sassy enough to pull off the bodysuit with overalls, although I really like it! I haven’t committed to a bodysuit yet because of long torso problems, but every time you post about the Tuxe ones I am tempted.

  2. I love this post!! Bodysuits are so of the moment but because I vividly remember them being my piece of choice in college nearly 17yrs ago, I find them difficult to wear now. You know, the old fashion adage: “if you wore a trend the first time it came around, you shouldnt be wearing it the second time”. But this, this I can do!! Both looks are appropriate and slightly sexy without looking like you tried to hard. Yes to sheer and lace bodysuits that dont look like Im headed to my first frat party!
