Last summer I was pregnant and wore nothing but dresses. It was so easy to get dressed — well, OK the actual act of getting dressed was not easy. I swear I got winded just by standing up back then —but it was easy to figure out what to wear. Putting clothes on = not easy. Picking out what to wear = super easy. So this year I thought I’d just keep that going. I’m going to find some cute t-shirt dresses, and add my favorite denim jacket and sneakers for an easy (and comfortable!) no-extra-thought-required outfit. If I want to dress it up a bit I can swap out the sneakers for sexy sandals and throw on some red lips. Done.
The Easy Outfit Formula: Oversized Denim Jacket + T-Shirt Dress
dress: Leith Surplice Ruched Body-Con Dress (wearing small) I love this dress . . . I could probably go up to a medium for a bit of room, but I kind of liked the tighter fit (and especially that it’s nursing-friendly).
jacket: Peyton & Parker Lightweight Denim Jacket (size xs) I have worn this SO much since I got it. Love the fit and the distressing — but if you don’t want a jacket with holes, I’ve added a few options below in the boutique.
shoes: Adidas (tts) I’ve wanted these shoes forever, but my foot always slid right out of them . . . until my husband, Zack, gave me the novel idea of tying the laces tighter. Duh. Now I wear them everywhere.
bag: Rebecca Minkoff Julian Backpack (40% off!) This bag is my favorite. Love the neutral color and the size (not to big, not too small).
bracelet: Victoria Emerson Wrap Bracelet I love her wrap bracelets, and the price is perfect for gifting. They come in a ton of colors and textures . . . and her boho cuffs are awesome too. I literally want them all.
sunnies: Old, these aviators are similar and come in a ton of colors — aviators are always my favorite sunglasses!
earrings: Old, these are similar, and I love that you can choose gold, silver or antique gold as the accent color.
