I’ve gotta be honest…I love y’all, but I’ve been a smidge salty over seeing everyone else’s spring style. I mean, we just had Memorial Day, the unofficial start of summer, and my entire spring wardrobe has been packed away all season. Hey, thanks, Marie Kondo! What’s a girl gotta do to get into a springy, summery mood around here? Apparently, trying the new, Everlane Day Glove ReKnit is just the inspiration I needed.
Everlane has been on my list of brands to try for. ev. er., but I guess I just get into my usual shopping habits. Until now! I jumped at the opportunity to try the new ReKnit Day Glove. It features a new knit fabric, so its delightfully breathable for the season, with the style and comfort that makes everyone so obsessed. It comes in five summer-perfect colors and sizes 5-11 (including half sizes!). And, get this: They’re made from renewed plastic bottles! My years of recycling has come back to me in the form of the Day Glove ReKnit …I’m down for that fashion karma! More importantly, it fits with Everlane’s commitment to eliminating virgin plastic from its supply chain by 2021. Awesome mission AND shoes.
The New Everlane Day Glove ReKnit
So, yeah, for anyone taking score, I’m one of the few contributors who hasn’t tried Everlane and I seriously loved this outfit. Head to toe, y’all. You know I tend to go for print and/or color, so I went with a fresh monochrome look in white/blush tones. I was incredibly happy to find plenty to suit my style and complement the Day Glove ReKnit. Here are some of the questions I’ve had about the brand and my experience so far:
- OK, are the Day Glove ReKnit seriously comfortable?: Yep. I’m always between a size 8.5 and 9, so I ordered both and went for the 9 after a bit of wear testing. Unlike many flats, I like that it has a good bit of heel cushion and hugs my foot. So, even though it was a smidge loose, it didn’t flop or gap when walking. You’d never guess each pair contains eight renewed plastic bottles! And I’m pretty sure the knit fabric is gonna be my jam this season.
- How about style…can you wear the Day Glove ReKnit flats often?: I mean, you be the judge! I really liked them styled with this outfit. It’s basically a casual take on a summer suit, and I firmly believe you don’t always need heels for that type of look. But, these are definitely more polished than many other flexible, rubber sole flats. I was concerned about proportion because my feet are somewhat large for my short frame, but the Knit Day Glove didn’t make me feel like I had boat feet. I’ll keep you posted on other ways I’m styling them this season…midi shorts and t-shirt dresses come to mind.
- But, what about the clothes? Are they figure-flattering?: Yes, everything was figure-flattering and wore well through the day/try-on, so I’d say it’s curvy-girl approved! I’m wearing my true size in everything, but some of the sizes were off for me in particular styles noted in the boutique below. I’d say to order multiple sizes if you’re on the fence. I am happy this look worked right out of the box!
Outfit Details
Day Glove ReKnit: The verdict is in, these are gorgeous, comfortable and breathable. Perfect for all your summer shenanigans. Or even your last few bus stop runs. TTS; I’m in between 8.5/9 and preferred the 9 in pink.
Denim Jacket: I should’ve paid attention and sized down to a S, but I liked the relaxed fit of the M, too. It’s rigid denim, which makes for a heavier weight than some of my other jackets. It makes for a great all-season layer and ultimately speaks to the quality of the jacket.
Clean Silk Shell: This top makes me want more “nice things.” I do worry about the practicality of silk sometimes, but I’m glad I tried this. I’m always sweaty during photo shoots, and this held up really well. And, did I mention it was so cool and felt amazing? Mama deserves a little silk here and there. TTS, I’m wearing size 10 in pale pink.
Patch Pocket Skirt: Get ready to see this skirt on super repeat all summer. I maybe have one other pencil skirt that can truly work for casual office looks, so I love the versatility of this piece. The high waist is so flattering and incredibly comfortable. TTS, I’m wearing size 10 in bone.
Day Market Tote: Holy moly this baby is the real deal. I was drawn to the color, blush, which is perfect for spring and summer. I do wish it had some sort of magnetic closure, but it’s not a deal breaker. It can carry a million pounds comfortably; the description doesn’t say that, but I tested it on my move last weekend.

I want to love Everlane because of their sustainability but the whole, enter your email before you can view stuff thing, is really off putting. I don’t like to frequent sites like that and it really flies in the face of a their philosophy of radical transparency. It would be much more transparent to show people their products without asking for their personal information first.
Oh wait, I see that you have the option to close that window and still view the item. That’s good. But it’s confusing that they even ask the question before showing the item. I don’t usually give sites like that a second glance.
Yeah, it’s the way of the world anymore, but glad you worked it out. Let me know if you end up trying the shoes or something else!
Tiarra — moving AND posting this week? You’re a superwoman! I’ve been curious about these flats — so glad to get the go-ahead from you!
Oy, this move! Luckily, my photographer is such a beast, this shoot was super fast! I hope you love the shoes!
