Hello! You may have noticed we took a brief hiatus from our #myeverydayedit series with the craziness of the 4th and the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.  (I, for one, am a first-time card holder to Nordstrom now thanks to Shana).  BUT, we’re back and here are my latest everyday outfits:

Express Portofino Strikes Again

I’m always looking at the newest colors and patterns of the Portofino shirt because it’s so incredibly versatile, flattering and nursing friendly.  It’s definitely a staple of my closet (here’s my original review).  I also love the nude heels because they elongate your legs and are comfortable.  (Don’t just take my word on it – check out the awesome reviews!)  They go with everything in my closet so they were definitely worth it!

Express Portofino (Similar, this pattern is sold out!)

Cosabella Bralette (some of the patterns of the Portofino are a bit sheer so I find a bralette works well)

Girlfriend Jeans

D’Orsay Pumps

Clutch (old, but I’m loving this transparent one!)

GAP Moto Jacket & Graphic Teeskinny-pants-and-graphic-t

I’m loving this moto jacket from GAP lately . . . and graphic t’s are a favorite way to dress down an otherwise dressy outfit.  The shoes are actually pretty comfortable because of the low heel.

Graphic T (similar)

Skinny Jeans (on sale!)

Wallet/Phone Case (on sale!)

Workout Gear as Clothes & My Favorite Sneaks cute-workout-clothes

Some days I just want to wear workout gear (even if the only workout I plan on doing is going to Ulta).  In this case, I brought G to Lake Superior for her first time.  It was cold but she loved it!  Also, these sneakers make the outfit . . . the bright color makes an otherwise boring outfit a bit more interesting, don’t you think?

Maternity Tank (yes, I still wear them because they’re long and the ruching is so forgiving!)

Sneaks (Merrell sneakers are the only ones I’ve ever been able to wear without socks and not get blisters . . . they’re no longer selling the pair I’m wearing in the photo, but have some great looking new styles out!)

Portofino (yes, again) . . . Dressed Uphow-to-dress-up-shorts

This was my favorite outfit!  I wore a halter bralette under the Portofino shirt so I could leave one more button undone . . . then added layered necklaces, simple sandals and a sequin clutch.  This is my “I don’t get to go out much, so when I do I go all out” look!

Portofino Shirt

Gold Clutch

Graphic Sweatshirt & Comfy Shoes (Slippers)   boyfriend-jeans-and-uggs

When comfort is at the top of my list . . . my favorite ripped jeans, a comfy sweatshirt and the best slipper-shoes of all time.  Perfect.

Sweatshirt (old, but I’m loving this “Brunch” graphic sweatshirt)

Lace Skirt & Flowy Tophow-to-wear-lace-skirt

I’ve been waiting to wear this lace skirt since I got it on clearance months ago . . . I wanted to dress it down a bit and this top from Necessary Clothing was perfect.  It’s loose and drapey so I didn’t have to worry about what I ordered at dinner (pizza, for the record!).  I could have paired this with flip flops for an even more casual look as well . . . but . . . as you guys know by now, I love my heels.

Top (ok, the tag says hand wash cold but ANGT for that so this is what the shrunken version looks like . . . I actually like it better!)

Skirt (similar, and I’m also LOVING this neon lace skirt)

Sandals (similar, but these look much more comfortable!)

Bag (similar)

Now YOU GUYS . . .Style-Inspiration

@SuperKombi‘s layering is awesome!  I’m loving @tanreni’s bright sandals and nails . . . @elletrain’s photo is gorgeous (not to mention her hat)!  @stylemeetlife’s statement necklace and neon flats bring simple maternity dress to the next level.  @encapsulated_me, I’m pretty sure I need your sandals.  @lantonacci, that goes for your awesome flats and ripped jeans as well . . . and @vgardner07, m’orange is one of my favorite colors . . . it’s such an easy way to dress up an outfit! I literally could add so many more of you, but it’s 77 degrees out . . . for someone who wore Sorels and a scarf to the 4th of July fireworks (I wish I was exaggerating), this is a big deal.  I need to get outside.

  1. Hey Scotti – Do you also have the American Eagle tomgirl jeans? I thought I remember you tagging those once. If so do you like those????
    Love the post today

    • Yes! I love those as well . . . they run reaallly small, fyi. I normally wear a 6 and I have those in a size 0 . . . idk what the skinny girls would do! 🙂

    • THANK YOU!! And yes . . . I’ve been experimenting with toners! Grey, pink, purple . . . not sure yet what I like best! My hair color is always changing these days. 🙂

  2. Hi Scotti,
Thank you so much for including my picture (Flat Bum Mum told me). It’s always such a thrill to see my humble backyard shots on blogs and IG feeds. Love your mum style, especially your ‘comfort’ outfits. My motto is: everybody can look great in styled label outfits with professional makeup, hair and photography – but to rock the daily grind – that’s super special!
    SuperKombi xxxooo

  3. Scotti, so glad you did the edit this week! I am finally going to buy some real makeup… just some tinted moisturizer w spf, concealer, powder, some eyeshadow, maybe some lip stuff. I’m hoping to regularly use the moisturizer because of the spf but the other stuff probably won’t get used regularly… How long can I expect it all to really last? Maybe with the right products I’ll love it and want to use it all the time but more likely my routine days won’t warrant it.

Also, if you know skin CARE I would love a post on that! I have nice skin when pregnant and nursing but when that ends I’m like a teenager.

    • houseofboys, check out The Works Kit from Ole Henriksen. (Sephora) I prefer not to wear much makeup and that kit – plus my beloved Clarisonic – makes it possible.

Scotti, thanks so much for the shout-out! I rarely bust out the big girls shoes but they make me happy every.single.time.

      • Ooh, yes! The clarisonic! I forgot to mention that I use that EVERY day as well . . . and you’re welcome! Beautiful shoes make all the difference in the world sometimes! 🙂

    • I’ve been asked to do a post on skin care so much I think we’re going to do one! Shana actually has the BEST skin . . . it’s ridiculous. I still swear by the microdermabrasion kit from philosophy and MOISTURIZER every day. I use a heavier one in the winter (dry skin) and lighter one in the summer, but never go without. We’ll get a post together for you!

  4. Portofino shirts, A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. Seriously! I recently bought my first (three…) after reading a different one of your glowing reviews, as well as a comment saying that they fit really well on big busted ladies (32G here), and I am in LOVE!! The fit is amazing (5’1″, 118lbs, 32G chest), I got a small and its a perfect mix of fitted yet flowy/loose. My only regret is that I didn’t order more colours! Best.shirts.ever.

    • I know! I’m absolutely obsessed . . . the machine washable/dryable thing is SOOO helpful as well. And FYI, they have a TON of colors right now! (I may have purchased two more myself)! They’re just such an awesome option!

  5. Love all your outfits 🙂 Totally random but I’m curious so I have to ask…why do you wear sneaks without socks? I love my Target gold toe no show socks, they really do the trick and are the best for those low profile sneaks.

    • I actually never did before (years of cross country will do that to you) but when I got those sneaks they were made to be worn without socks . . . I was wary, but I LOVED them. I actually went back and bought them in another color . . . SO comfortable. Annoying that they discontinued this particular style.

  6. I love when you do the Everyday Edits! I find your style really relatable…or maybe that just means similar to my own, ha! Either way, thanks for the real-mom inspiration!
