What’s better than capsule wardrobes for toddlers?  Capsule wardrobes for kids as well!  GAP has some seriously adorable options for little ones that are well made, last a long time and are often on sale (promo codes vary – currently it’s 40% off with code TREAT).  Greenlea’s no longer growing out of her clothes by the week, so I’m comfortable spending a little more for clothes that last.

Keep reading to see the capsule wardrobes I’ve put together for toddler girls, toddler boys, aaannnd capsule wardrobes for the school-age set.

  1. YES !! This is exactly what I’ve been needing! Writing down all the different types of clothing items, then I’ll go through my kids closets and figure out what I have and what I need! This is going to simplify my life so much !! (Plus I just bought three of the items on your toddler girl list lol score one for me!)
Also, one question, would these be essentially the only items your kids wore all fall?

    • I always look at fall clothes as the “bridge to Christmas”! I never spend a tonne but a capsule wardrobe is awesome (especially if dad is dressing little gals and is not necessarily switched on when it comes to how much pink is too much pink!)

  2. And check out Target’s Cat & Jack line for toddlers & little girls this season. I am dying! I wish they made some pieces in adult sizes.

  3. Really? I have horrible experiences with Gap Kids clothes. They shrink after one wash and don’t even get me started on the shoes. No wonder everything is always 40% off. Other kids’ brands like Crewcuts, Mini Boden and Garnet Hill Kids might cost more upfront but their clothes last forever!

  4. FYI Target has some rad, really, legging/pants for boys size 5/6 and up. They are like moto inspired skinny black patched sweats and they are awesome. They also have some very specific shorts/leggings combo in the boys section that seems very specific stylistically but I’m not sure what the style is…. Macklemore? Kanye? Vanilla Ice? My contemporary masculine style references are limited.
