Got a fall wedding on the calendar? Or three? Same. Between the Saturday RSVPs piling up and the group chat spiraling over “wait, is this indoor or outdoor, cocktail or black-tie??”, figuring out what to wear can turn into its own whole thing.
Here’s the good part: fall is honestly one of the easiest seasons to dress for. Rich jewel tones, a little velvet or satin, sleeves so you skip the coat check, and colors that look gorgeous against alllll the string lights (and changing leaves).

Into the pretty things…
1. Reformation Daisy-Kate Dress
I keep coming back to this one for a wedding I have the second week of October. It’s plain but with details that scream NOT plain (+ really flattering). I am drooling.
2. Anthropologie Jacquard Halter Midi Dress
Jacquard always gets me. I find it to be the perfect texture/print when I want to wear something fancy and a little fun. The high neck is such a chic shape, too.
3. Cinq à Sept Celia Dress
For the warmer fall weddings, this one. I’m always down for a stripe, which is pretty hard to nail in a fancier dress – but I’m picturing this one with higher black heels & a clutch and I’m loving it.
4. ASOS DESIGN High Neck Satin Maxi Dress
A bright red is such a statement during the fall & winter. If you’re tired of neutrals but want to keep the silhouette a bit more subdued, peek at this one.
5. Farm Rio Black Porcelain Birds Long Sleeve Slim Maxi Dress
One of the first places I check when there’s an event on my calendar is Farm Rio. They have the most unique prints EVER, hands down. This one is so good with those heeled boots if the wedding is more laid-back.. but I can also see with a cool blue pump.
6. Reformation Angeles Dress
I tried my best not to make every single one of these dresses Reformation ones, heh. They’re just so beautiful and elegant (and often sexy) + they come out with gorgeous ones almost daily? This deep green is great.
7. DOEN Vita Dress
Yessss, DOEN. These little silk dresses are just as fancy as they are cute, IMHO. Love the color combo + styling of this one for cooler days. Who said wedding guest dresses always have to be midi or maxi?
8. Banana Republic Mesh Tie-Back Maxi Dress
Banana has started coming out with some very wearable prints that I wouldn’t mind wearing over and over. This one might very well be the perfect fall floral?? And the tie neck is so in.
9. Aritzia Fan Satin Dress
Another absolutely stunning short one. I gasped when I saw it.
10. Banana Republic Bias-Cut Georgette Slip Maxi Dress
If that brown floral wasn’t fun enough for ya… I present you: orange floral.
11. Quince 100% Washable Silk Long Sleeve Mini Dress
If plain silk is your jam (I totally get it – I love it quite often), head over to quince for dressy staples at a bizarrely good price point. This dark plum was made for October.
12. Sézane Dorotha Dress
Can ya tell I like a floral? I feel like this Sézane one can work in most seasons because of all the colors. It reminds me of grandma’s wallpaper in the best way.
13. ASOS Cape Kimono Sleeve Maxi Dress
A long-sleeved style that does not compromise on chicness = a kimono sleeve (apparently). I love this green… or the deep chocolate.
Cheers!
