Why do we all love Frank + Eileen around here? Because…their fabrics…are beyond special. I’ll admit, I’m typically all about the style of something as my main draw. But not only do Frank + Eileen get the cuts right, their fabrics are pretty unmatched. We’ve raved about Frank & Eileen’s triple fleece many times because it is perfection (not too thin, not too hot, travels amazingly well), but this time, I wanted to try some other fabrics in their line. And dang am I glad I did.

I tried out some linen pieces that I now want to live in always (and totally will when it warms up a bit more here in the PNW!) All of these items would make a perfect long weekend packing list.

Friends, I even napped in these pants the other day and um…comfy! Let’s get into the details.

These linen and cotton pieces feel like a soft kiss on your skin (not exaggerating) and though I was already a fabric snob to some extent…gosh. I’m really am one now. And another bonus about so many of Frank & Eileen pieces? Each style often comes in multiple fabrics, multiple colors so once you find a piece you love, you can easily find another that pairs with the rest of your wardrobe or in your favorite shade.

Less thinking for having a really beautiful closet, capsule wardrobe or packing list. I’m all-in for less thinking, friends.

Outfit 1: Breezy White Button-Down + Linen-Blend Trousers

Pants (10) | Shirt (M)

These Wexford wide-leg linen pants are some of THE most comfortable pants I’ve put on. And with the tab-style closure, waistband and overall styling they pass as actual trousers more than a more casual pull-on style might. I freaking love them.

Pants and I aren’t getting along great these days, but the moment I put these on I was hooked. I immediately wore them all day.

Wexford Linen Pants Fabric, Fit + Care: 50% cotton, 48% linen and 2% elastane – I don’t want to overstate here but they feel like a dream. No pulling at my thighs, no digging waistband…and the cut of the leg is just wide-leg enough without being too much fabric. Sizing is TTS, but they do give some with wear, so size down if you’re between. Machine wash inside out on cold with like colors and tumble dry on low. Easy peasy.

In terms of the top, I’m wearing Frank & Eileen’s Eileen Button-up in a cotton fabric called Featherweight and it’s truly that: light as a freaking feather on your bod. You could probably pack 10 of these pieces in a suitcase and it would barely add up to a pound in your luggage. SO lovely. This is what I’ll be wearing on hot days when I still want to be a little covered.

Eileen Button-Up Fabric, Fit + Care: The shape of this Eileen top is amazing. It’s cut in a circular soft shape with rounded shoulders which just lays so beautifully. And Shana was right. Frank & Eileen nails the button placement on their shirts and shirt dresses. The top button is at the perfect spot for being flattering on the neckline while not showing too much.

Usually being shorter waisted I have to button my top up too high to show off my necklaces but all of these button downs I’ve shown have that same ideal placement. This cotton is OEKO-TEX® certified cotton. Fit is true to size for a soft relaxed fit that isn’t too boxy.

Outfit 2: The Perfect Maxi Shirtdress

Dress (M)

Want to know what I’ll be living in all summer? This Rory linen maxi shirtdress. It’s breezy and long (but not too long) and really is the perfect weight. It will make the best swim cover-up, too. I wish I were visiting France this summer because I have the dress ready! I mean. It’s so good.

Dress (M)

Roxy Linen Maxi Shirtdress Fabric, Fit + Care: This lovely dress is 100% live-in linen, meaning it’s been washed for a worn-in feel right out of the box. It’s lovely. Turn this garment inside out, machine wash on cold, and tumble dry on low. The fit is relaxed without feeling huge. TTS. I’m 5’4″ and an 8/10 these days.

Dress (M)

It also comes in a bunch of other shades and some of Frank & Eileen’s other beautiful fabrics…I want it in the soft denim now, too. There’s a beautiful earthy peach color that looks fab.

Outfit 3: A Super Soft Denim Shirtdress

Dress (M)

I have tried to love so many knee-length shirt dresses over the years, but most I’ve tried are either too tight or cut off my legs visually or just aren’t…right. Who doesn’t want to be able to throw on an easy shirtdress though?! I’m so glad to have found this Mary Shirtdress – it has the most beautiful shape, done in Frank & Eileen’s “famous denim”.

Dress (M)

Mary Shirtdress Fabric, Fit + Care: Their denim is famous because it has that slightly heavier cotton-y feel but isn’t actually heavy. It’s a really nice weight and soft out of the box. Again this fit is slightly roomy but without feeling huge. And I LOVE that the hem is slightly longer in the back but a little higher on the sides. It helps me feel comfy and covered without feeling squatty or dowdy.

This is also available in some beautiful summery shades and in their classic linen fabric, too.
