12 Beach-Ready Picks (Under $100!) From Free People

This post is sponsored by Free People and Collective Voice.

Free People’s free-est collection is something I’ve been swooning over since I first noted the sun-drenched, gorgeously-beachy imagery on their home page. (It’s what gets me every time, honestly. Their photos alone transport me to the prettiest places – in the prettiest outfits, ever).

This new summer collection is “designed for beach and beyond” andddd they nailed it. And that’s exactly what this little curation I put together feels like; clothes for a trip to the beach but also a collection of pieces that work for every day, not just beach days or vacations. And that is what we need in our closets!!! Pieces that can do both. Like…

12 Picks From Free People: All Beachy, All Under $100

I love that each and every one of these pieces can be worn in a bunch of casual AND fancied-up ways. It’s the duality of items (specifically Free People’s) that I always appreciate in my closet (& suitcase, for that matter).

Here are my 12 favorite pieces for simple, effortless looks under $100 (!!!). A couple picks are stand-alone pieces like this pretty knit tank and these breezy pants, but the rest are all sets, dresses or rompers – AKA, exactly what I turn to when it gets hot and I want maximum ease.

1 | Condado Sweater Top

Free People Condado Sweater Top

Starting off really strong…. how stinking gorgeous is this top? It’s such a simple knit tank but I think it could carry an entire outfit. It comes in four colors and this pink is my favvvve. I die for a bright strawberry pink in the summer, especially with a little bit of a tan.

2 | Corfu Tube Set

Free People Corfu Tube Set

This set looks like the ultimate cool-girl outfit to me. I love the undone feel & baggy style, and I just know I’d be so comfortable in it. Those pants could go with sooo many other tops (like the tank above!) which is always a major plus, too. I just love matching sets so dang much. They take the guesswork out of getting dressed and are a pleasure to bring on trips.

3 | Feelin’ Fancy Romper

Free People Feelin' Fancy Romper

I knew I had to include this romper the second I saw it. I love the idea of throwing it on with my usual summer shoes: Birkenstocks, flip flops, low-profile sneakers, and even… some strappy sandals + a cute bag for a night out? I think the black one especially could lean fancy. It’s in the name!!

4 | Picnic Sweater Romper

How gorgeous does our Amy look in this romper?!?! I’ve been stalking it for months and she totally sold me. I love the thicker knit, oversized fit and that the collar leans a little bit classic. Ugh, I want to be chilling on a rock on the seaside in this too!!!

5 | Amelia Midi

Free People Amelia Midi

midi dress

This dress is in my cart (and soon to be at my door hehe). I gravitate to allll the white dresses come summertime – and this one stands out from the rest. I think it’s that cool smocked texture & the halter strap (that can be tucked in to be worn strapless). It’s subtly girly with the ruffle trimming and just really dang wearable. The reviewers LOVE and say it’s not see-through, btw!

6 | Livin’ In It Cotton-Linen Pants

Free People Livin' In It Cotton-Linen Pants

linen pants

Gotta love a pair of everyday pants like these in the summer. Elastic waistbands will always be a team favorite + anything cotton-linen is a win in the heat. I’d wear this with a cute little tee like the model, and even into the office with something a little more structured up top + some silver flats? Wide-legged pants are having a moment and I am holding on tightly hahaha. They’re a wardrobe must-have, for me.

7 | Lena Maxi

Summer and stripes just make sense, yanno? This maxi caught my eye because 1. the color combo works so well, 2. the strappy back action is great, and 3. it just looks like a dream to throw on. A flowy dress in a cotton & linen blend is usually all I want in the summer. And the styling here aced it.

8 | Hailee Sweater Jumper

I looove jumpers like this when the weather gets hot. They always lean a bit oversized (thus providing ample room to breathe and sweat without sticking to skin), cooling (waffle knit does that), and effortless-feeling. I’d wear it over my swimsuit to bike to the beach then with a pretty tank under for a post-dip lunch. Comes in 14 colors!

9 | Full Of Sunshine Cotton-Linen Mini

Free People Full Of Sunshine Cotton-Linen Mini

This dress is a summer problem-solver. It can go with ANY shoe (quote me on that), be worn to any event (I think you can quote me on that too…) and styled in any way. Over a bikini as a cover-up, with Birks and a tote for the day, heels for night, with a fancy clutch and jewelry to a party, shower, or even casual wedding?! (Well just not the white..). It’s such a winner and that price is unbeatable.

10 | Vivi Mini

Free People Vivi Mini

mini dress

Oooo.. I love how subtly sexy this dress is with all those little details – the sweetheart neckline, lace trim & side cutouts?! It’s got a lot going on but in a way that really works. Plus, this “brownie” color is sooo pretty. Also comes in white & a couple pastels.

11 | Malibu Solid Pant Surf Set

Free People Malibu Solid Pant Surf Set

This set gives such a laid-back beach girl vibe and I’m obsessed with it. The white is my fave of all the 12 colors because it has optimum matching capabilities. It also just looks like a delicious knit to lounge in all day, on or off the beach. Love.

12 | Mindy Sweater Midi

I’ve had my eye on this dress BUT I can’t pick a color. This bright green is my favorite because it’s so unique – but the tan, blue and cherry red also give me pause. Gahhhhh.

Go get your beach on!!!

Thank you to Free People for sponsoring this post!! I’ve been a fan for… I don’t know.. over a decade now?!?! And I love your vibe & styles more and more with every season. The laid-back, cool girl styling of your pieces will always be my favorite.

  1. Love your blog – been following for a long time. Buuuut I often think to myself, that piece looks great on someone less busty. I’d appreciate seeing posts on best silhouettes for bustier gals. Once I find a particular combo that works on my bod, I try to replicate it. The proportions, shape, and coverage are more crucial for me than the specific pieces. Thanks!
