The Father’s Day countdown has officially begun. Since it’s just a few weeks away, we figured it would be helpful to kickstart your brainstorming with some gift ideas that have worked for the TME team in the past. Buying gifts for men can be a challenge, so here are a few favs that have been wins for us.
14 Useful (But Still Cool) Father’s Day Gifts For Dad
There are so many routes to take when it comes to gift-giving for men, but there are two in particular we typically follow. The first is something fun (duh). This can be any type of gadget, accessory or anything that will make them light up like a kid again. The second is an everyday upgrade. This is an item they use A LOT that can be taken to the next level for comfort and ease.

1. Hammock & Stand Set
Something everyone needs: the gift of relaxation. A hammock is the perfect gift for someone who works hard…or just really likes to zen out. The best way to accomplish this? A standing hammock. He gets the comfort of a hammock without the hassle of setting one up over and over. After he gets it ready the first time, all he has to do is lay back and melt into the soft fabric. It’s sturdy and strong, making it a great Father’s Day gift.
2. Vuori Men’s Joggers
We LOVE the Vuori Ponto Performance Pant joggers (check out Scotti’s article on them). Nothing but good reviews from us (we may even argue they are the best men’s joggers). This is a great gift because it’s practical, stylish and crazy comfy. Dads of all ages can rock this loungewear item. If you love the material but wish they were lighter for the summer, surprise…they come in shorts too! The Ponto Shorts are one of Amy’s fav Father’s Day gift ideas.
Amy says: “Ideal for everyday living, but perfect for sleep and road trips during these warmer months.”
3. Solo Stove
The perfect example of an everyday upgrade gift is the Solo Stove. If you have a fire pit/grill master guy in your life, this will make it so much easier for him to do what he loves. Our favorite part is the clean look, making it a sleek modern piece for any backyard. An almost smokeless fire pit? Sign us up.
4. Ninja Digital Air Fry Oven
This Ninja Air Fryer has been all the rage this year. For a dad who loves to cook…or eat, this is perfect. This air fryer levels up with it’s bake and toast features. It also has a glass window so you can watch what you’re cooking (perfect for avoiding burnt food). If you’re worried about another gadget clunking up the countertops, the Ninja Air Fryer flips up against the wall to make space. Clean counters! Yay!
5. Powerbeats3 Wireless Earphones
Whether for exercising, running errands or taking Zoom calls, wireless headphones are a must-have for busy dads. These Powerbeats3 Wireless Earphones are tried and true. They stay in and have great sound quality. The perfect upgrade from standard tangly headphones: these will save him time when it’s time to plug in.
6. YETI Hopper BackFlip 24L Soft Cooler
Warm weather picnics and hikes are on the rise. Gift him the YETI Backpack Cooler to make outdoor days a whole lot more refreshing. It keeps food cool and fresh. To top it off, the straps on this cooler are wide enough for comfort and easily adjustable.
Shana says: “The backpack is so portable and easy—and legitimately comfortable to wear—we end up using it alllll the time. It wipes out easily, and, with ice, will keep food cold almost as long as the traditional coolers.”
7. lululemon Surge Shorts
The Surge Shorts from lululemon are a new fav. Probably because they are lightweight and comfy. They come in sizes s to xxl with two different lengths, four and six-inch. Whether he is an on-the-go type of guy or just looking for the perfect summer shorts to lounge in, these do the trick.
Shana says: “Since he’s tried lululemon’s running gear, he literally won’t wear anything else. The cost-per-wear on these shorts alone is…pennies” and “the phone-pocket holder is easily his favorite design element.”
8. Oil-Free Popcorn Popper
For all the popcorn-loving dads out there, this is a good one: an Oil-Free Popcorn Popper from Boon Supply. This eco-conscious product makes about five cups of popcorn and is microwave/dishwasher safe. Our favorite thing about Boon Supply is that 40% of every purchase goes back to a cause of your choice.
9. Vuori Ripstop Climber Pants
These Vuori Ripstop Climber Pants are another item we love. Comfy AND practical? Yes, please. It doesn’t get much better than that. They come in eight colors and range in size from xs to xxl.
Amy says: “They fit exceptionally well—even in the thighs—sealing the deal for the brand to become his staple.”
10. DJI Mini 2 Fly More Combo
This is a fun one. S’s husband has the DJI Mini 2, and not only does it take great photos (and videos), but it’s range is impressive, it’s been flown in many iffy conditions, and it’s the ONE THING that makes the other dads come running over to check out. If you’re looking for some serious gift envy, this is a solid choice.
11. Di Bruno Bros. Gift Set
A creative gift idea from Linzi for the food connoisseur in your life. This unique pick is exciting, functional and will definitely taste good. Fun in the moment and long lasting with the cheese board and cheese book.
Linzi says: “I’m kind of the worst at Father’s Day gifts. I’ve gotten my dad hot sauce assortment gift sets for SO many years. I hate to see how many are still unwrapped in his pantry…my poor dad. One big win, though, was a cheeseboard, cheese book and cheeses from local Philly DiBrunos Bros. They have special and unique cheese selections and gifts they’ll ship anywhere. Fabulous hot sauce sets if I decide to go that route yet again. Ha!”
12. Allbirds Tree Runner Sneakers
The Men’s Tree Runner Sneakers from Allbirds is one of their most popular shoes. They are flexible, machine washable and made with renewable materials. Perfect for everyday comfort (especially if he is always on the move.) Angela got these for her father last year and he LOVES them.
13. Nordstrom Pima Cotton Pajama Set
Laura says: “I’m always baffled at what to get my own father because he’s as great of a shopper as I am. Heh. I heard through the grapevine he needed new pjs though, and being the clotheshorse he is, I couldn’t just get him anything. Nordstrom pjs are so soft, so I went with a set for his gift this year, the Pima Cotton Lounge Pants and matching Pima Cotton Tee in navy should be the comfy set he’s looking for for summer! They also come in black and a heather gray. Love that they can be mixed with casual wear, too, and don’t scream pajamas.”
14. Nebula Capsule Mini Projector
Movie night on the go sounds perfect for warm summer nights. Take it inside for your standard movie party or outside for a set up under the stars. This Nebula Capsule II Smart Mini Projector is a great way to bring that movie theater feel home in a super easy way.
Shana says: “My husband is obsessed with this projector. It’s pricey, but super high-quality and small enough for travel. We’ve done impromptu movie nights all over by streaming from our laptops (or phone).”
Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers, grandfathers, or anyone you want to celebrate. What gift ideas do you have this year?
xo,
