I’ve been obsessed with all things sparkly since I was little. Give me sequins on everything! My husband even painted a glitter wall in our house for me. I mean, it makes me happy just to look at it. (Partly because I love sparkles, and partly because he blew the glitter off of a paper plate onto the wet paint square foot by square foot — if that’s not love, I don’t know what is.) But realistically, my life doesn’t exactly call for sequins all day every day. Which makes it that much more fun when I do get the opportunity to dress up…and when I dress up, I dress UP. I mean, why not? It’s fun to get all dressed up and GO ALL OUT when those opportunities arise. It makes special occasions all the more special.
But listen, I don’t want to spend a ton of money on some fancy number that I’m going to wear a few times for special occasions. Which makes JCPenney the perfect place to find some fabulous options for the holidays — they have all the fun sequins I could want without the enormous price tag I don’t. And their sales? Amazing. So, I’m going to go all out this holiday season even if that means we’re staying at home to have our own dance party. (And there will be dance parties.)
Holiday Party Outfit Idea 1: Black Sequins & Faux Fur Leopard Print
I love this jumpsuit. It’s comfortable to wear and has such a cool neckline and back. The straps are adjustable (thankfully) and the length was perfect with heels. I added some fun accessories and the coat I’m wearing everywhere lately, and I love the end result.

jumpsuit: Premier Armour Sleeveless Sequined Jumpsuit (size 6, tts) – this one is all about the back. I love that the straps are all adjustable for a better fit and that there’s no cleavage — and it’s super comfortable to wear.
coat: Sunset & Sixth Faux Fur Heavyweight Coat (size xs) – I’ve been wearing this coat since I bought it, and not only with fancy sequins, but with denim and plaid button-ups. It’s crazy soft.
bag: Gunne Sax by Jessica McClintock Staci Evening Bag – perfect for the essentials! I was happy that this fit my iPhone. I’ll be wearing it with my denim, as well as fancy jumpsuits.
heels: Anne Michelle Women’s Desired Heeled Sandals (run about 1/2 size big) – the perfect strappy sandal with a little bit of bling.
jewelry: hoop earrings, silver ring, stacked silver ring (all pure silver over brass, and all on sale for under $12 – over 65% off!) – I love costume jewelry that’s affordable and adds a little something extra to outfits. Hoops are always my go-to accessory no matter what time of year.
Holiday Party Outfit Idea 2: Go All Out With Sequins & Faux Fur In a Monochromatic Shade
This look is so over-the-top and actually really fun to wear. It’s like shouting “I’m heeeeeeere!!” wherever you go. I took off all the extra jewelry (because there is such a thing as too much–even for me) and added matching lipstick. (And I’m thinking a burgundy smokey eye and nude lips would look amazing too.) This look is just missing something bubbly and a fake accent–fabulous, dahling.

coat: Liz Claiborne Midweight Faux Fur Coat (Size 2) – I love this coat. I actually wore it to the airport and it was comfy and warm. I love the fun color.
