Halfdays Is 15% Off: 9 Well-Tested Picks For Winter

Staring today until 12 PM PST tomorrow 1/10, take 15% off everything at Halfdays with code HBD15. This is big, you guys! We’re HUGE fans of their outerwear & warm layers for winter, so this sale is right on time. (Heading to the slopes, anyone?)

Halfdays has mastered color (which we’ll prove in a sec) & make seriously cute pieces that perform. They redesigned their entire line to be more waterproof, and can now withstand moisture, snow, wind & whatever else. Their stuff is great & comes in sizes XS – 2X. Women-owned, 100% vegan & they use recycled materials, too!

Top Recommendations From Halfdays’ Sale

I’ve been wearing Halfdays for years, and have tried – almost – everything in their line.

My top quick picks? The short list of pieces so good that I now own them in multiple colors?

Let’s get into it.

1. Not A Skier? My Top Picks: Halfdays Nellie Packable Puffer Jacket

Halfdays Nellie Packable Puffer Jacket (S)

As I’ve mentioned before, this shape is genius. This puffer is cut roomy under the arms, which means that it can be layered over the bulkiest of sweaters. It’s lightweight and cute, and the drawstring waist is both useful (keeps the warmth in) and chic – especially with baggy jeans. It’s become one of my most-worn jackets (I seriously wear it 3/4 of the year) and I can’t recommend it highly enough. I now own it in two colors, black and ‘spritz’ (a bright orange). I wear this both as an everyday jacket and as a technical one for winter running & cross-country skiing.

2. Skier? Halfdays Georgie Puffer Jacket + Carson Bib Pants

Halfdays Georgie Puffer Jacket (S) | Halfdays Carson Bib Pants (S)

This has become my favorite set for skiing and other winter adventures. They re-engineered this puffer jacket last year, and it’s now perfect. It’s one of the warmest I’ve worn on the slopes, and is easily cute enough to wear around town on ski trips (even over fancier pieces for date night). The Carson bib pants are my favorite snowpants. Not only are they cute, comfortable, and decently waterproof (another fix from previous years), but they also come in regular and petite sizes. I can’t recommend these highly enough!

Don’t miss: I’m wearing this set over matching Halfdays Merino Wool baselayers (top, bottom) and they’re my favorites. They’re really high performing and cute enough to double as a real top (especially in ski towns). I wash on cold and lay flat to dry.

3. For Everyone: The Beanie

Halfdays Hunter Merino Rib Beanie

Halfday’s 100% Merino Wool Beanie is one of the warmest (and cutest!!) I’ve ever worn. It’s thick, basically windproof, and comes in some seriously cute colors. I have it in ‘alpine green’ and ‘disco’.

beanie | sweater | jeans | boots

4. Halfdays Pieper Fleece

Halfdays Pieper Fleece (S) | Halfdays Hunter Merino Rib Beanie

I do love this fleece pullover. The crop, high collar & mostly – the colors. Matching the dark ‘alpine green’ with the Hunter Merino Rib Beanie makes for a surprisingly put-together (but casual) winter outfit, and the bright pop of the ‘granita’ color makes me happy. All of the 11 colors are perfect outfit-makers for winter (and they fit under Halfday’s packable puffer nicely).

5. Halfdays Lawrence Jacket Jacket + Alessandra Pant

Halfdays Lawrence Jacket Jacket (S) | Halfdays Alessandra Pant (S)

This jacket, while not as warm as the Halfday’s Georgie Puffer, is great. There’s more freedom of movement in this jacket, which is great for days I’m either going really hard OR when it’s not that cold. This set is definitely my go-to for spring skiing. Like all Halfdays gear, they get all of the details exactly right – it’s easy to tell that these pieces were designed by women. The pocket placement is perfect, the zippered vent placement is perfect, the hood fits perfectly over a helmet AND the collar is comfortable to wear, even zipped up.

The Alessandra pant – the first-ever pant Halfdays issued – is great if you don’t like bibs. I, for one, always prefer the bibs. But in either case, there’s a wide range of colors to choose from, and, as we’ve mentioned before, color is where Halfdays really shines.

6. Halfdays Johnson Top + Sophia Legging

Halfdays Johnson Top (S) | Halfdays Sophia Legging (S)

If you’re not into merino wool, Halfdays’ Johnson base layer top is great. It’s cut high in the armholes, has good range of movement, and the bottoms are nicely high-rise. This set washes and dries really well, and has some sort of flattering compression thing going on, yet is suuuuuper comfortable (thanks to the ribbing). It’s also a little more “slippery” than the merino wool baselayers, so sweaters layer nicely over it. Runs small, tho – size up!!

7. Halfdays Davis Convertible Jacket

Halfdays Davis Convertible Jacket (M)

I’ve been wanting to try Halfdays’ Davis Convertible jacket next. Laura has it, and says, “The cut and lighter/medium weight are perfect for layering underneath and the sleeves zip off to become a vest. Talk about versatility. Amazing for travel. Love this so much. Wearing a M. Runs slightly oversized, but with room to wear a sweatshirt or sweater under.” – Laura

8. Halfdays Tabei Parka

Halfdays Tabei Parka

Linz loves Halfdays’ longer Tabei Parka for an extra bit of warmth for everyday. Comes in 4 pretty colors and is wind & water resistant with a removable hood, high collar, storm cuffs & adjustable hem. It has the perfect amount of nonchalant slouch, and looks even better in person.

9. Halfdays Fay Midweight Merino Top & Emma Soft Shell Pant (in Short)

Halfdays Fay Midweight Merino Top (S) | Halfdays Emma Soft Shell Pant Short (S)

Yay! Julieta is getting in on the sking game! And she’s starting strong: “Snow gear in a color I adore. Halfdays nailed it with this stunning rust color. I’m obsessed with the base merino layers; the pants are incredibly flattering, and the short length option nearly brought tears of joy to my eyes. The adjustable jacket was perfect for my petite frame, and while slightly lighter than the pants, I love how the full ensemble looks. Totally worth it!” – Julieta
