I adore giving gifts. I know it stresses some people out, but I really love it.
Granted, these past few years have been a bit of a whirlwind in all respects, but, typically, I’m someone who loves having a little section of my office closet dedicated to gifts on-hand (candles, nice hand lotions, host(ess) gifts). I also adore making a list of who I’m shopping for each year so I can hunt for the perfect fit for each person. In theory…I love this. Or, not in theory. I really do love it, but I’ve gotten out of practice.
Perhaps a collection of ‘cool gifts under $35’ is something I need to make a note to do yearly. I definitely need to shop from this category more often…throughout the year even.
If you just want to jump into shopping, my top tip is to head over to Uncommon Goods or the gift section of Nordstrom. You’ll be sure to find something there. And uh, sorry y’all…I set out to find cool gifts under $30, then I noticed a couple of items are $2-$3 over. Gasp, I know. So Gifts Under $35 it is! Blame the craze of the holiday season and jet lag.
18 Fun Gifts Under $35
Below you’ll find a useful list of 18 stocking stuffers, Hanukkah gifts, teacher gifts, friend gifts, secret Santa gifts, and presents for just about any other occasion. It was super-fun to round up these finds under $35 and shout-out to my team members Abby, Lily and Em for contributing to this list. “Teamwork makes MY dream work” as my daughter said last year, LOL.
This roundup has inspired me to set the goal for 2023 to get back on the gifting horse (I don’t think that’s quite the saying) and get my booty in gear again for thoughtful gifting in the New Year! I hope this collection inspires those of you who love gifting too, need something last-minute or just really hate it and hey…let me do the work for you! It’s all good. I got you.

1. 100 Movies Scratch-Off Bucket List Book
You can tell I’m a bit of a movie buff. This movie bucket list book includes movies, facts, quotes and a fun interactive scratch-off page.
2. In-N-Out Art
Abby hipped me to this amazing website, Furbish, and I couldn’t begin to decide which matchbook watercolor print was my favorite, but I think as a West-coaster, you really can’t go wrong with In-N-Out. #represent
3. Collegiate Pouches
These 100% cotton collegiate pouches are so perfect for the sports fan, the college student or the friend who acts like they’re still in college…Uncommon Goods has quite a few universities available, too.
4. Minute Mimosa Sugar Cube Trio
How fun for a party or brunch! These little cocktail cubes turn any glass of bubbly into an instant mimosa. This would be a great gift paired with a bottle of sparkling rosé, Prosecco or champers if you’re fancy!
5. L’Occitane Hand Cream Indulgences Holiday Gift Set
These little hand creams are my very favorite for keeping in my purse. How fun is the packaging from L’Occitane this year? These are nice and heavy and not chintzy. Really luxe — and bonus — no wrapping required because the set is so pretty on its own.
6. MoMA Miffy Small Nightlight
WHAT a cutie. This MoMA nightlight is perfect for any kiddo or kid-at-heart.
7. Panacea Smile Ring
One of my favorite happy rings has a similar smiley face and this one is a great find at under $30! I like pairing it with my sporty looks and mixing it with my higher end jewelry for some fun high-low fashion.
8. Merino Wool Ridge Cuff Beanie
Lily from our team recommended this cute beanie...it comes in a ton of colors but this was her fave and I agree — it’s so fun! It’s such an easy way to add a pop of color to a winter outfit, too. Grab them in a couple of your friend’s fave shades!
9. Bubble Wrap Calendar
Omg bubble-wrap-popping satisfaction for every day of the year. BRILLIANT.
10. Create Your Own Photo Flashlight
You can upload your own photos to this lovely little photo flashlight and your recipient can then project them on the wall anytime they want to think of your times together…soooo cute and sweet.
11. Banana-Saving Hats
These. I love them. We have them. And they still make me smile, but they also do save your bananas! I noticed the ones that last longest come wrapped on the stem with plastic, but a bunch of bunches do not, so these save the day!
12. Joie de Vivre Bistro Tile Tray
We all adore this line of bistro tile items from Anthropologie and have for years. I have the mug, but Abby suggested these pretty trays! They’re so lovely for any use…jewelry, vanity, soap dish or valet.
13. MoMA Geo Stacking Coasters
These little works of art after are so fun and pretty, and unlike any other coasters I’ve seen. They look adorable stacked up!
14. Truff Hot Sauce Gift Set
Em and Jess adore these hot sauces. I cannot wait to try them because you know I can’t resist a good food find. Pair them with some gorgeous fresh pasta or heck even a bag of kettle chips for a fun white elephant or hostess gift.
15. MoMA Design Store ButterUp Knife
I have always wanted one of these butter knives. This is also a great gift for a foodie friend who loves good bread and butter and hates trying to spread it cold (me, all the time when we run out of our room-temp spread.) A unique kitchen gadget that won’t take up too much room. I suggest pairing with some fancy European butter you can typically find at specialty markets or even Whole Foods. If nothing else, Kerrygold will work!
16. Cotopaxi Mercado Reusable Tote
I mean, I love all things Cotopaxi honestly. But this little reusable shopping bag is so fun and folds up into a small pouch to keep in your purse, etc., More fun key chain clip-on bags here and here, too!
17. Eat What You Watch Cookbook
OK, this cookbook is now at the top of my own holiday wishlist! HOW fun! You could pair it with this 1,500 Movies checklist poster or the book of 100 movies above.
18. Rusty Barrel London Cocktail Shaker Set
Lily also suggested this lovely boxed bar set as a great under $30 gift idea. This would be an awesome set to bring to a secret Santa party or as a host gift. Love the packaging!
Happy gifting, friends! And don’t stress yourselves out. Give from the heart and with confidence and those gifts will all be well-received. Trust me. I’m an expert at receiving gifts, too. Haha.
And hey — when you’re done here, head over to our holiday gift idea hub for more seriously cool gift ideas for all your loved ones (or whomever).
