I didn’t learn to ski till I met a great guy who loved to ski and, much to my stepdad’s chagrin, that’s all it took to get me out of the lodge and on to the slopes.
That man is now my husband.
Cute & Cozy Gifts For The Ski Bunny Loungin’ In The Lodge
And while I enjoy a few runs on the greens (maybe a blue, maybe) from time to time, I am a champion ski lodge dweller at heart. It takes preparation, mentally, physically and emotionally, for an entire day spent in the lodge. You need the right glamorous attire to stay warm (but not too warm), enough to keep you occupied and snacks. Lots of snacks.
This is a gift guide for the anti-ski bunny. The individual who holds down the fort for hours while everyone else is flying down the mountains. Without further adieu, 15 must-have items for the best day spent on the slopes…erm, in the lodge…ever.
Even if you’re not conquering the mountains, warmth is a must (along with being fashionable AF). This Collared Eyelash Sweater looks like wearing a bear hug (in a good way).
Nothing I’d rather avoid than small talk with strangers…enter wireless earbuds. Zone out with tunes or a really, really good podcast.
Chapped, burned lips after a ski trip is the absolute worst. This Coola Mineral Liplux SPF 30 keeps lips protected, plus it comes in three colors for some extra glam.
Y’all, I don’t even drink and I want this glitter flask for my Shirley Temples. Ski days are…long. Especially for the non-skier. Spike that warm bevvy or have a few nips to make your time in the lodge a little more enjoyable.
Don’t worry, no Bambi’s were injured in the making of this Bambi Faux Fur Scarf. This scarf will keep you looking chic and cozy in the ski lodge.
There are only so many rounds of Homescapes (just me?) you can play on your phone. Curl up with a good book and spend hours lost in a compelling story. I recently read Malibu Rising and couldn’t put it down. Invoke feelings of warmth and summer with the book’s southern California setting.
I’m sort of obsessed with this lunch bag system. It comes with a bag and four containers for storing lunches and snacks for the ravished adults and kids coming off the mountain. And for the person holding down the fort. They deserve snacks for all that hard work.
If you’re a tech junkie or need multiple books to get you through a day on the slopes (relatable) check out the Kindle Oasis. It’s warm-light adjustable, Bluetooth compatible, and waterproof.
Nothing is worse than being cold on the mountain. I own the “stupid pants” version of these Nike Sportswear Essential Fleece Pants and they keep my stems thoroughly warmed when the temp. drops.
Keep that noggin nice and toasty with this adorable Rib Lined Pom Hat. Available in other colors.
Keep the paparazzi, erm blinding sun, at bay with a pair of Quay Polarized Sunglasses. I never tire of the cat-eye shape. It’s timeless.
Anything can be glamorous, even a portable charger. I am obsessed with this Lipstick Charger. It’s compact, cute, and is compatible with iPhone and Android. There’s nothing worse than your phone dying halfway through a day on the slopes. Keep that juice flowing.
Winter boots are a must, but make it fashionable. These Moon Boots are so extra (in the best of ways).
Ski lodging all day requires some pocket money for all those hot chocolates (or hot toddies) and treats, carry it in this delightful Fluffy Plush Tote Bag. Plus, I feel like it could double as a pillow!
These Shearling-Trim Leather Gloves are delicious. Perfect for slowly pulling off as you enter the ski lodge after a strenuous morning of…IG selfies with the mountains in the background (no shame in your game).
You can have fun on the mountains sans skis or snowboards. Kick back, relax and take plenty of boomerangs of the crackling fire you grabbed a chair by like the smart cookie that you are. Cheers to the ski-lodge lounger.
