I’ve always loved Kohl’s. It’s one of the few stores we have here, and I have such a feeling of nostalgia when I think about going there: shopping with my mom during the holidays (when we would see practically everyone we know and spent more time chatting than shopping), browsing the makeup by myself when I wanted some alone time, taking Greenlea there when she was younger so she could run around the aisles when there was a ton of snow outside.
It’s under a mile from our house, and I’ve spent countless hours there looking at everything from shoes to makeup to clothes and home decor. It’s the first place I look for matching family PJ’s for the holidays, and this year it’s become my go-to because of their easy (and free!) 100% contactless drive-up option. I order online, and my order is ready to pick up in two hours or less. I love that!
This year Kohl’s has a ton of beautiful holiday decorations that are easy to mix-and-match. I’m a bit of an interior decorating novice (to put it nicely,) so their whole “style it your way” feature (scroll down to see an example) is perfect for people like me. It just makes it easy to coordinate different pieces to put together a whole look.
1// Iron Metal Snowflake Cut Out Lantern: I mix silver and gold–not sure if I’m “supposed” to, but I like the way it looks!
2// Holiday Acrylic Shimmer Forest Scene Ball: This was bigger than I expected it to be and was easily the favorite of all the decor. It’s made of acrylic and not glass…so I don’t have to worry about the kids breaking it!
3// Wood Noel Sitabout: Cute painted sign!
4// Ceramic Joy Sitabout: A good reminder! I once kept a “joy” sign up all year because I liked the message…might have to do that this year, too.
5// Large Metal Deer Decor & (6) Metal Deer Floor Decor: I like how these two look together–and the clean lines and colors. They’re also (relatively) kid-proof because Ozzie couldn’t keep his hands off of them. Putting them here, then there, then there…
7// Mini Botanical Mason Jar: A small, simple decoration that would fit anywhere.
9// LED Cut-Out Scenery House: I missed this when I ordered my decorations, but I might have to get this one because I love the lights.
10// Joy LED Candle 4-piece Set: I love this set…it comes with a remote to set a 2, 4, 6 or 8-hour timer that will automatically turn on every 24 hours. (Or you can always just turn it on and off.)
11// Tree with Reindeer Sitabout: G and Ozzie love this one! The reindeer comes out so you can place them how you want to.
13// Small Wonder & Joy Gold Lantern Decor: Put a candle in for pretty flickering lights.
14// Large Star Gold Lantern Decor: Love the pretty star cut-outs.
Jammies For Your Families
I love the pattern on these matching family pj’s! They’re 100% cotton so your skin can breathe, and they’re super-comfortable–wash them before you wear them to soften them up a bit. One note about sizing…some reviewers said they run small, but they do stretch with wear and after you wash them. The arms on the kids’ pj’s seemed tight at first, but loosened up once they were washed and worn.
On Me: Jammies For Your Families® Fairisle Top & Bottoms Pajama Set (s, some reviewers said these ran large, so I sized down to a small and they were perfect)
Faux Fur Tall Boot Slippers: I have worn these every single day since I got them. I love how warm they keep my feet, which are always freezing unless I have slippers on! Also in gray, these would make a great gift!
On Greenlea: Girls 4-16 LC Lauren Conrad Jammies For Your Families® Fairisle Top & Bottoms Pajama Set (also in a crew neck version) in 5T
On Ozzie: Toddler LC Lauren Conrad Jammies For Your Families® Fairisle Top & Bottoms Pajama Set in 2T…a 3T would have given him a bit more room
Side Note: Can We Talk About these Earmuffs?
Since I got over $320 worth of decorations for $131.19 (thanks to a combination of their crazy good deals and my Kohl’s cash), I may have ordered a little something for myself as well. (You had me at faux fur.) I picked it all up via the contactless drive-up option (a huge sanity-saver) and trust me when I say these earmuffs are 100% worth it.
Faux Fur Earmuffs: These are just fun. They keep my ears warm without giving me hat head (my hair looks awful after wearing hats). Also in black or light pink.
Faux Fur Mittens: I LOVE these faux fur mittens–the best part is that the top can flip off so you don’t have to take them completely off in order to use your phone, zip up kids’ coats, etc.., (Also in black or light pink.)
Animal Print Washable Cloth Face Mask: This mask fits really well because of the bendable nose bar and adjustable elastic ear bands. It has a built-in filter lining with an opening for a filter insert–and I’ve washed it with no problems.
Bow-Back Sweater (s): This is like the perfect fancy-but-casual sweater to wear for the holidays when you want to be comfy and festive. The bow in the back is so pretty (it’s not a pre-sewn bow, which I love) and it comes in a bunch of colors.
Sherpa Moto Jacket (xs): Warm and comfy, this jacket is like a thick, snuggly sweater. It’s a great top layer for before the snow flies. (It runs big, so size down!)
