Remember my Thanksgiving outfit? It was fancy yet casual, thanks to the addition of jeans. My legs were warm, and my neighbor loved the dress I layered over top. We had a relatively warm day in NY, so we shared dinner with our next-door neighbors on our patio. They always go back to Ohio, but they didn’t this year. They made traditional Thanksgiving dishes, and we made Colombian side dishes for them. I know they missed their family, but I’m so glad we got to celebrate our cultural differences.
Now…while I was sure of the vibe I wanted for my Thanksgiving outfit, I’m not so sure what I want for the rest of the holidays. I have a feeling I’m going for something more lazy BUT fabulous.
This Velvet Lounge Set Is All I Want (To Wear)For Christmas
Enter velour sets. Years ago, I got a velvet jumpsuit, which honestly felt like pajamas, and I wore it for New Year’s when I was only a few weeks post-abdominal repair surgery. It was glorious. So I’m hoping to get the same glam + comfy vibe this year — but from a matching velour top and pants.

I must say, if you like it, act fast. It’s selling out like crazy. The top sold out at Nordstrom, but I found it for 30% off! I love to wear mine with jeans as an elevated tee.
I literally wore it to decorate our Christmas tree, and I think I want to add to our Christmas tree day traditions to dress festive for it. I usually wear sweatpants or leggings, but wearing this set took it to another level, and it felt extra special.

I’m sure that if you swap the slippers for heels it would look stunning for a more dressed up look.
A quick note on sizing: These pieces run big; I’m small in most things, but here I went for XS, and the top was still oversized.
Now because I know gold is not the best color for some, I’m adding some options below:

The best things about these sets is that you ca always wear the separate pieces and create more looks.

Are you into velvet or velour sets?
Chao, chao.

For the Pinners…

You’re beautiful! Your smile always makes me feel better. I tried the velour sweats a few years ago when Shana rec’d them and I was postpartum, but then my friend made fun of me and I got rid of Everything Maternity in a violent dash of relief at being done. LOL! LOVE the sleeves on that top, they look anything but sweatshirty! My version of cute and comfy this year is a pink balloon sleeve sweatshirt that I can wear like scrubs but feel like special. Happy Christmas!
