Bonjour! Guys, gals, non-binary pals… I didn’t include any loungewear in this roundup. WHAT??? Is it even a roundup in 2020 without loungewear?? I think not. Heh. So before we get started, if you really want loungewear…may I recommend this set from Zella (hoodie and joggers.) LOVE…so luxe! And these slippers (that I did include) are like wearing two tiny fluffy dogs on your feet. They’re under $30 and I highly recommend. Oh, and these rad leopard pajamas from Printfresh at Anthro. Whew. OK. We got it in. Now on to the rest of the fun…
This holiday shopping season, I’m keeping my eye on J.Crew sweaters, Citizens of Humanity jeans (and gray jeans at Nordstrom) Anthropologie home, Athleta pants, and Williams-Sonoma appliances and cookware. Zulily will have some amazing gifts and stocking stuffers, just start shopping now, and look for the tiny present icon next to items shipping in time for Xmas. Backcountry will have all the great stuff for the outdoor lovers on your list (check out my current faves here and use code THEMOMEDIT to save 15% on certain items!)
Now, on with the wishlist. Some of these items I’ve already tried on, some I already own (and am thinking you should put on your own wishlist) and some are me just truly finding some escape right now by looking at pretty things.
As a girl who thrives on beauty and design and everything pretty, I’m stoked with how the things I’m really digging right now came together into a lovely little collection. Everything here makes me so happy. Pretty colors…check. Rad graphic prints…check. Cozy factor…double check. Something sentimental…check. Oh and more cozy? Yep. Check, again. Fingers crossed we can find some great deals this holiday season for all the pretty stuff!
This. This! Every year I keep searching for the perfect fisherman sweaters, and this year my search lent itself a little more towards these more delicate pointelle knit options. This is on it’s way to me in camel (in the collage above,) but now the ivory is also calling my name. These are the hazards of this job. These are an acrylic/alpaca/wool blend, so I bet they’re quite soft! (Update: it arrived and it’s so soft! Runs a tiny bit oversized)
You may have seen this from my J.Crew try-on session I keep referencing. I got it in camel, and recently saw this gorgeous blush color, too. Lordy. Essentially I just want all the J. Crew sweaters. The nice thing is they will be on sale if they aren’t already, but they do tend to sell out in our favorite colors. TTS on this.
03 | GAP Long Cardigan
I’ve mentioned this cardigan a few times, too, and I wear the heck out of it. It’s quite warm, and perfect as a robe in the mornings or over jeans like it’s styled here. I adore this sweater. Can’t recommend it enough. SO cozy.
04 | J.Crew Turtleneck
And here again we witness my love for J.Crew sweaters and color. I have this supersoft turtleneck. These are warm, too, and oh-so-soft. This year’s version is a hi-low hemline, and I’d size down in this. I tried the small and it was too big. The XS (which I typically never am) fits great.
Um, I didn’t know I wanted this until I was looking at Anthropologie for cozy throws, and um…now I need to re-do any room in my house to make this work. GAH — adore. It comes in this finish, as well as a gold finish. Anthro home, please be on sale!
Phone cases are my favorite accessory, and this one is perfectly rad and so ‘me.’ It’s offered in a few different sizes, too.
I recently got and adore these. They are so cool and work great under my Madewell Slim Demi jeans. They also work well with pretty much any cropped wide leg and some straight leg jeans, and just have a cool-girl, badass vibe. TTS and awesome.
08 | Anthro Coffee Mug
I just love, love this design. You can honestly never have too many gorgeous mugs to drink your beverages out of, in my mind. This would make a beautiful gift.
As one who mostly wears black-wash jeans this time of year, these are perfection. Citizens Of Humanity jeans are so good and worth the bucks, but I do hope they go on sale before they sell out, too! This fit is a relaxed, mid-rise slightly tapered fit, which I find myself wanting to throw on all the time. These are rigid denim, so they will take a bit of breaking in, but I am ALL about that these days because you wind up with your favorite jeans that mold to your shape.
You can see I got a little carried away with adorable things at Anthro. I’m finding myself wanting to update quite a few soft accessories around the house this year (pillows and throws specifically) and this. I NEED THIS. Not only is it a rad design, it’s that soft cozy material you want to curl up in, too.
Yes, we are seeing a theme here. I couldn’t decide which color, so I included them all in my roundup. They’re all good. This would make a really comforting gift, too.
I have a problem. I keep trying out all the cozy boots…but these are waterproof. Gah. I mean, yes please. Do they look kinda overkill for Portland? Yes, yes they do, but idgaf, and Imma be rocking these kinda cozy things alllllll winter long.
13 | Slippers
Speaking of overkill, yes, these look like small shih tzu’s on your feet. They’re perfect. And under $30.
14 | Mama Necklace
As someone who is typically secretly vs outwardly sentimental, I’m finding myself wanting to show more outwardly this year. Sienna…get this for your mama, so she can cry happy tears on Christmas morning, will ya kiddo?
This gal loves a quality kitchen item on her wishlist, so I had to come through this year, too. I already own the Breville Smart Air Oven, and it’s by far my most-used kitchen item (yes, even over the Instant Pot I love.) This year I’d love to add a great enameled cast iron double-burner griddle (for, not just pancakes, but cooking full breakfasts at once!) and a large bread board for serving ‘snacky dinners’ as we call them on nights I just can’t cook. Also, I definitely binged The Home Edit show on Netflix, and while not a natural organizer, I SO want to be, so I need all those good clear storage bins to make my lyfe pretty to look at.
Yep. Binge-watched The Home Edit and now I need all things beautiful storage. It’ll take me years to do what they do, but at least this could be a start.
Perfect for serving our snacky dinners as we like to call them…where we just pile on the cheese, charcuterie and pickled items, a few veggies and fruits to finish it out and…dinner. is. served.
I could wax poetic forever about this smart oven. It bakes, air fries, dehydrates, slow cooks, roasts, toasts and reheats. It’s way more than a toaster oven…it’s a second oven that does all these extra things!
So, so cute, eco-friendly and a great reminder. This shop, Boon Supply, also gives 40% of their full-priced items to a cause of your choice. SO so cool. They have cute tote bags, kitchen items and more. SO many great gifts here!
I want to make all the pancakes at once for once. OK, well, at least more than one at a time please! My brother is a fabulous cook and loves his cast iron griddle for being able to make full breakfasts at once. These are great to take car camping, too, use on the grill, the campfire, etc., You can’t go wrong with Staub perfection but Lodge also makes an even more affordable option!
I’ll be honest: these just looked so beautiful I couldn’t resist including them. I’ve been going through a lot of our kitchen items and upgrading lately and getting rid of the single pieces, the extras, the chipped stuff. These would be so pretty for cocktails or wine or just sitting in a glass cabinet in your dining room. Wow. Need something more durable? These DuraClear glasses at Williams-Sonoma are also on my list.
07 | Tiger Lumbar Pillow
I have the leopard version of this pillow for my office loveseat, so obviously I need the tiger for the living room! So rad.
08 | Balance Board
I’ve been wanting to try one of these, and my little S is a skater girl, so I think this will be perfect for indoor movement activity for this winter. I’m also eyeing this one because it looks cool, too.
Have and love this in black floral. SO cute, and helps me not lose my AirPods! And it nicely clips on a bag for when you’re out and about or in the car. These would be an amazing stocking stuffer or gift!
10 | AirPods
I had an off-brand of wireless earbuds. Don’t waste your time and money. The AirPods are the best. The way they click into the charging case, too, it’s just satisfying, OK? Survive the rest of COVID times. Treat yourself.
11 | Cozy Tech Gloves
Love that these are a pretty light gray, long enough to go into your sleeves, and have the tech properties so you can use your phone. Perfect gift, too, for honestly anyone, but I’m thinking even teens would love something like this!
Here’s to curling up with a coffee or glass of wine and perusing all the pretties online this month. Cheers, my friends. We’ve almost made it!
