Know what I love about cozy throw blankets? The fact that everybody loves them. (Ok, I might be exaggerating but yanno…) They’re the type of things that can be gifted to pretty much anyone, anytime. (And yes, I’m implying that giving a throw blanket as a gift in the middle of July is perfectly OK. You can quote me on that one.)
Below are 10 impossibly cozy (and obviously stylish) throws with reviews that make you want to stop reading and order one for yourself and all of your first cousins. Hell, maybe even second cousins. And honestly, with these prices, that may be possible. Get ready to get really, really cozy. You (and all of your cousins) deserve it.
P.S. Kohl’s has fast & free road-side pickup in 2 hours or less. (If you need to get cozy pronto.)

1. Geo Sherpa Throw | Kohl’s
This pattern is really fun yet understated. Adds a little bit of something without being too over the top or clashing with your decor.

2. Oversized Knit Throw | Amazon
This blanket speaks for itself. Seriously. So chunky & thick & ohhh-so-soft. Comes in 13 (!!!) colors and 12 sizes (note: 5 of the larger sizes are over $100 – but still insanely well priced). Sooo many five-star reviews, too. I’m ordering one ASAP. Here’s one from Etsy that’s super similar, but most sizes are over $100.

3. Faux Fur Throw | Anthropologie
I’ve never heard so many good things about a blanket as I have this one. Everyone and their mother has one (or should, as the reviews state). This deep teal color is my absolute fave. (It’s made using “eco-friendly production methods” — which makes it even better.) Look like it’d go well in a room painted Aegean Teal.

4. Beacon Shilah Throw | Kohl’s
Another understated yet totally cool pattern. (I’m really loving the geometric touch, if you couldn’t tell.) I think it’s the ivory/nude color combo that pulls me in. You can’t go wrong with those — especially as a gift. Who doesn’t love neutrals?!

5. Faux Snow Leopard Throw | CB2
I love the quality and subtle texture of this one. I mean… look at it flowing over that leather couch. So perfect. Reviews promise it’s insanely soft and best for reeeally cold nights.

6. Double Knit Handmade Throw | Kohl’s
Again, I love blankets with those bigger, thicker knits. It just adds some cozier (to use that word for the millionth time) texture to pretty much any couch or bed. This one is pretty much just a smaller version of the above oversized knit throw from Etsy.

7. Plush Fleece Throw | Urban Outfitters
A perfectly priced way to stay extremely cozy at all times. So simple and well, pretty much perfect.

8. Tasseled Confetti Throw | Anthropologie
I’m swooning over this one. I’m such a sucker for confetti-textured things. I just love the little bits of color throughout — it’s so pretty. Would be the best gift like… ever.

9. Pom Pom Sherpa Throw | Pottery Barn
How cute is this one?! Yes, pom poms are usually associated with kids’ stuff, but this one is fit for any age. Checks the box for that insanely cozy feel with a little bit of excitement. (Yes, in my world, pom poms are exciting. Pile ’em on.)

10. Colorblock Throw | CB2
This one is pretty sophisticated. Would be a great choice for those neutral lovers out there. Also…are you guys seeing this price? All I have to say is thanks, CB2.

As I was writing this post, I got kind of… cold? Like an I-need-a-Tassled-Confetti-Throw type of cold. Is that a thing? Man, am I a sucker. Coziness is impending.
Xo, Abby
And for the pinners…

Love that you’re including Etsy finds, but that one is a bit misleading, seeing as only the baby blanket sizes are under $100 🙁
So sorry about that, Anna! I totally missed the size options. I updated the post with a super similar one under $100.
Does anyone have advice for throws that are not only washable but still look good after washing? Dry clean or spot clean only blankets just do NOT work in a house with kids. And I’ve never seen a faux fur blanket look as good after a wash. Bonus points if it’s sustainable! And by sustainable I mean is made of natural fibers or recycled synthetics and doesn’t shed. I recently read that when washed, most of the cozy synthetic fabrics (fleece, Sherpa, faux fur, etc) shed micro plastics into the waste water for years. Sorry to Grinch all over your coziness but I know TME makes an effort to be sustainable and may not know about this issue.
Ugh – it’s true, but I haven’t been able to quit my fleece or faux-fur. I’ve actually been looking to install one of those water filters that will filter the microplastics out, but haven’t yet taken the plunge. In terms of sustainable throws, I’ve been eyeing up this one (but of course the color I want is sold out): https://shopstyle.it/l/boP85
