If you are a regular, ordinary, been-sitting-here-for-ten-plus-years metal desk lamp — abandon hope all ye who enter here — it’s time for some fun.
Working at home has become the usual for many, and I’m here to tell you that a little Etsy lamp could make your 9-to-5 a whole lot better. I’ve rounded up a bunch of really unique lamps that won’t only brighten your space, but also (hopefully) your mood — I know we could all use a li’l bit of that.
Experimenting with lighting can be such a fun way to freshen up your desk or bedside table. Who knew you needed three little golden mice holding up lightbulbs for your viewing (in more ways than one) pleasure? Well, I did. Get excited about these 16 quirky & fun lamps from Etsy to add a bit of spunk to your at-home workspace.
I love these little coil-y things, they’re suuuuper vintage. You can actually bend and move the long flexible part into any shape that you want. It’s like…fun?
OK, this is one-of-a-kind and pretty expensive for a table lamp, but LOOK at it. I couldn’t not add it. It’s just the coolest lamp I’ve ever seen. Might add this one to my Christmas list… (hey, mom).
You’ll soon realize that Edison lamps are kind of reoccurring in this roundup — I just can’t get enough of them. I love the industrial-like feel and how the bases are always pretty unique. I love the little circle handle on this one.
I mean…This one speaks for itself. Also, I don’t think it has to be just a seven-year-old aspiring to be an astronaut kinda thing. Coolness is for all ages. (Great sentence there.)
I love the glow and aesthetic of this one. Big plus that it has a wireless charging platform AND two USB ports. Uhh.. genius.
THESE. Oh my god. Have you ever seen anything quirkier or more perfect? The fact that you can choose your mouse based on its position (“standing”, “crouching”, “sitting”) is everything.
This one is so cool and handy. (Literally — it’s portable!) I love the modern shape and the dimmable aspect. Could be a cute, futuristic lantern for glamping…if anyone’s doing that these days.
It’s the I-just-made-this-in-woodshop-class appeal for me. A little rustic, a little modern and totally beautiful.
This one comes in a bunch of hanging shapes (see Etsy shop here). All of the light fixtures in this shop are pretty to die for — especially their sweet little hanging lamps. They’ve got tons of great reviews, too.
Two words: reclaimed wood. These lamps are by far the coolest (and most eco-friendly). You get to choose your base size/shape and bulb type and BAM — you get a totally awesome and unique lamp all to yourself. Would look SO good in a group of three or more or perfect as a singular statement lamp. I just love these.
These have become popular lately and I totally get why. They’re sooo cool — and pretty mesmerizing. Would make such a good gift for really any age.
Neon lights need to make a comeback in my opinion. They’re so fun to look at and add juuust the right amount of light to a dim room. Really cool vibes. They also tend to come in many fun shapes and words like this electric lightning bolt one and this Oreo cookie one. Yes, you read that correctly.
Love how the description of this one mentions that it’d be great for a cozy corner. We all need one of those. Really enjoying the colors that it comes in, too.
A table lamp made in minimalist heaven. Really. When you lift the bottom little metal ball to stand next to the top one, the lamp turns on. When you want it off, you just break the magnetic connection by pulling down the bottom ball. SO NEAT. Comes in two really pretty grey colors.
I really like the mix of materials here — glass, metal and wood are some of my favorites, and they play so well here on this industrial Edison lamp. The rose gold color is too good.
A tried-and-true way to reach your most perfect zen state. Seriously, it’s said that salt lamps really do boost your mood AND cleanse the air through the negative ions that they release (whether that be true or not). Oooo, so cool. (This one comes with a dimmer — which is necessary, if you ask me.)
Tell me those mice didn’t totally swoon you, no? And tell me you have’t completely fallen in love with Edison lamps. I know I have. Lighten up, babe!
Here’s one for the pinners!
