I instantly fell for this pretty floral pattern the moment it caught my eye. There’s just something lovely and feminine about it. And sure, florals might not be breaking any new ground for summer fashion (cue Miranda Priestly eye roll), but I’m totally smitten with the fresh and distinctive floral designs popping up everywhere, from the glitz of the Met Gala to the casual vibes of my daughter’s playground.

And let’s be real, there’s something undeniably joyful about slipping into a floral piece – it’s like wearing a little piece of sunshine. Whether you’re dressing up for a fancy soirée or keeping it casual for a picnic in the park, don’t underestimate the power of a pretty floral pattern to brighten your day and elevate your style game.

Pretty Floral Tops

1. Add a Denim Maxi Skirt

This maxi skirt is the most comfortable skirt ever. The featherweight fabric is so so soft and drapes beautifully. The slightly relaxed waistline is a winner for me—it’s not too snug, allowing for freedom of movement without any squeezing. Just a heads up, though, it does run a tad large—I typically wear a 6/28 but opted for a 27 here for the perfect fit.

2. With Loose Jeans

The whole squad is absolutely obsessed with these jeans, and I have to admit, they’re starting to grow on me. There’s something intriguing about the contrast between the snug bodysuit and the relaxed fit of the jeans—it creates a playful silhouette that’s kind of fun to wear.

3. With Black Trousers

bodysuit (m, also at Saks) | pants (8, run small) | belt | similar sandals

I snagged these pants (along with the matching blazer!) a few months back, drawn in by the luxurious feel and elegant drape of the fabric. Adding a belt is a playful way to shake up the look, especially with this versatile piece that comes in a myriad of colors and can be styled in countless ways.

4. Dressed Down with Denim Shorts & Birks

Of course just adding denim shorts (this pair happens to be the longer version of my beloved Parker shorts) and some comfy Birks is always a fail-safe summer ensemble, and I love all of the fun colors the Eva Birks come in.

5. With Comfy Khakis

Low-profile flip flops and lightweight khakis is an easy combo to keep the focus on the floral. The ones I’m wearing are a couple of years old, but I’m currently crushing on these J.Crew cargos crafted from a Tencel-lyocell blend! And if the weather’s playing it cool, a denim jacket would be the perfect addition.

Happy styling, lovelies! 🌸✨

XOXO,

Scotti
