This challenge was definitely a tricky one. Slip dresses feel kindaaa fancy, but, if you work it just right, they can be wearable for everyday (which you guys totally proved).

Layer It Over a Thin Top, Show a Little Leg AND …
… Pair a Slip Dress with Sneaks
When in doubt, layer a slip dress over a thin top. (We love wearing them with turtlenecks, specifically.) Keep it casual with your fav sneaks.
… Pair a Slip Dress with Combat Boots
Tees are another great way to keep it casual (and they never fail to look amazing under slips.) Make things edgy with some combat boots.
… Pair a Slip Dress with Heels (Dressed Down)
These are such good date night outfits. BUT the tops and low-heel booties keep it casual enough for everyday wear.
… Pair a Slip Dress with a Heel (Dressed Up)
If you really wanna take it up a notch, pair your slip dress with your favorite blouse and fancy heels. Another great option for date night.

Layer a Slip Dress, Part 2: Add Tights
A lot of us are still fighting the winter cold, so tights are somewhat of a necessity. Bonus points if you opt for a fun pair like Jaime did below.
Layer Something OVER Your Slip Dress …
… For Daytime
Without the cardigan = night out. With the cardigan = daytime appropriate. Easy as that.

… For Night
Kat showing elegance at its finest. Pop on a pretty kimono for some added print!

Layer a Slip Dress Over Jeans, Under a Statement Coat
If tights aren’t warm enough, (or you just want more texture and layers to your outfit) we’re BIG fans of dresses over jeans here at TME.
Keep a Slip Dress Comfy, Cute & Ready To Chase 2 Boys
Momming…elevated. Movable, realistic and still SO cute.

Pop a Sweater Over It & Add Boots
Instead of wearing a slim turtleneck under, take out your chunky turtlenecks to pop over your slip dress. Extra comfort, extra warmth. Pair with some tall boots or booties.
Warm-Up a Mini Slip with OTK Boots
Mini slips can be… nerve-racking for winter. Keep it warm with OTK boots and a soft cashmere sweater. (You can definitely add tights, too, if the OTK boots aren’t enough coverage.)

Let a Slip Dress Speak for Itself
When you don’t need all the extra layers to keep warm…keep it simple, and let the slip do the talkin’.
And that’s a wrap for Week 2! A big thanks to our readers for playing along! Week 3 is starting (headbands) and we will be taking submissions all next week on Facebook and Instagram until Thursday 2/6.
