Okay y’all, I don’t know that I would consider my new favorite pair of jeans to be full-blown Mom Jeans…but they definitely have mom-ish vibes.
Ever since I bought these Good American jeans back in December, I’ve been reaching for them again and again. Like most Good American jeans, they sit pretty high on the waist, and this magical pair is the perfect length for me (remember I’m on the shorter side at 5’2″). I love the detailing on them (distressed knees and a wash that’s just right) and they just feel high-quality overall. One thing to note, though — they have zero stretch and are a true blue jean.
Current Go-To Outfit: High-Waist, Straight Leg Jeans + Oversized Sweater
My favorite thing to wear with these jeans lately is this oversized white sweater from Free People — I love it so much that I’m tempted to buy it in all the colors. I feel like finding an oversized sweater that still holds its shape after several wears and washes is a challenge, but this one has held up amazingly for me! These sweaters are very oversized and I bought mine in a large. Free Peeps is definitely on the pricier side…but their sweaters, tops and many dresses fit me really well! It’s one of the few straight-sized stores that I’ve shopped at forever — if you’ve yet to try this brand, you should definitely check it out.
The rips, the detailing & the color of these jeans are SO good. They fit like a glove, and make my bum bum look amazing! Good American Good Curve denim has pockets sewn closer to the seam — like they do for straight-sized jeans — which I personally think makes for a better-looking fit from behind. I’ve found that many other plus-sized denim brands will sew the pockets much farther apart, but thankfully, GA gets the spacing just right.
Free People Oversized Sweater (L) // I’ve literally been living in this, and it’s so comfy! Plus, it’s on super-sale right now at Nordstrom. You can find more sizes and colors at Free People, Macys & Bloomingdale’s.
Vintage Boots (8.5) // These beauties were a super-score from a thrift pop-up shop that I used to go to when I lived in Columbus. They were handmade in Portugal and have the softest leather. Here are some similar options: 1 / 2 / 3
Earrings // These are by Cult Gaia, a brand that I absolutely love, but don’t splurge on often because they are very pricey. Unfortunately, my exact pair is sold out, but I found some pretty amazing dupes: 1 / 2 / 3
