I’m gearing up to host some holiday parties at our house over the course of the next month. I always make sure my cocktail game is on-point for the adults, but as my kids get older, I’m trying to find more ways to include them in the festivities. One request I’ve been getting from my daughter since the cold weather has rolled in is HOT CHOCOLATE. Lots and lots of it.

Warm It Up: Home Hot Chocolate Bar Ideas

This gave me the idea to transform our coffee nook into a hot chocolate bar for the kids at our holiday parties! It’s so easy to create a little hot chocolate station at your house. You can use any existing server or bar cart then add these few ingredients!

Mocktails aren't the only cool drinks for kids. Set up a hot chocolate bar (think, coffee station, but more fun) & whip up warm holiday magic. Just 3 steps.

Step 1: Set Out Your Everyday Mugs (Or Opt For Some Festive Ones)

I have to admit, I had a really hard time putting our holiday mugs on this server because the wallpaper in my coffee nook is so busy (but so fabulous). I couldn’t help but feel like my favorite holiday mugs were clashing. BUT, if I didn’t have this crazy fruit and floral patterned paper, I would use any of the festive mugs below…

Step 2: Add Cute Signage

Make it fun for the kiddos by adding some cute signage to the table or wall nearby. I found my signs locally, but I’d also love this pretty downloadable print from Etsy (just print and stick in your favorite frame) or this adorable banner!

Step 3: Last But Not Least…The TREATS

Go crazy and have fun with the toppings (your kids will thank you later)! Of course, you need the staples like marshmallows and whipped cream, but we added some yummy chocolate covered pretzels to garnish the mugs, some crushed peppermint candy, mini candy canes, and some chocolate chips! The possibilities are really endless. I also found these AMAZING candy cane spoons that flavor your cocoa (or coffee) and stirrer all-in-one.

Get creative and have fun with it! I promise you it will be a big party hit with all the kids this year!

xoxo, Tori
