My Spring Momiform (That Will Totally Work For Summer, Too)

If there’s anything I love more than a comfortable dress for Spring, it’s…well, not much. I LOVE A COMFY DRESS. It’s simple…and I do simple like a mother f*kin’ boss. I like being able to just grab something easy, throw it on and pair it up with an equally effortless pair of shoes.

I saw this dress, which just so happened to be on sale at the time, and I hesitated for maybe 2 seconds – wasn’t sure if it would be the right length or if it would hang weird on me. The hesitation did not last (obviously), because here we are. I love it and I never want to take it off. At 5’10” it hits right below my knee, which I love. It’s lightweight, stretchy and soft enough to almost feel like loungewear (seriously) and it’s cute! Really cute.

The second part to this simple and comfortable duo is the footwear. S shared these Spring booties and I was all ooOoo, already being a big fan of Lucky Brand booties. I jumped right on it and ordered them to try on. I pictured myself wearing them with lightweight, warm-weather dresses, cut-off shorts and any number of FP harem pants…and ya know what? They totally work it all for me. YASSS.

I guess I’ll just go ahead and make it super official now. This is currently my #1 Spring Momiform. Woo! Psst. I will be adding a couple more the next couple of months, so be on the look-out.

outfit details

dress: J.Crew Sleeveless Henley Stripe Midi Dress (wearing size Small, TTS) – classic, lightweight dress in an easy knit fabric. My new favorite everyday dress (if you haven’t gathered that yet). If you don’t see your size, check Nordstrom!

shoes: Lucky Brand Felixah Bootie (wearing size 9.5, Fog Fabric, TTS) – I like these. A lot. S says they cut in at her ankle in a weird spot and since she walks everywhere, she just couldn’t handle that. Now, I have noticed that they do hit my ankle in an odd spot, but they don’t bother me. It may be because I primarily drive everywhere and am not walking in them for hours upon hours. All that said, they are worth trying on.

shades: AE Pink Oversized Sunglasses – awesome, cheap pair of sunglasses.

bag: Rebecca Minkoff Julian Backpack (medium, navy leather) – the one I linked to is not the exact one I’m carrying, but its the closest to it I could find. I carry mine at least 5x/week. I held off on it, but it is now an essential…definitely worth the mula. I really love the navy color, but could also see this look with the lovely putty color. Oh yes. Come to mama.

bracelets: Praxis Jewelry Personalized Silver Cuffs – this was a Christmas present from my husband a couple of years back. I have three and each one has the first and middle name of one of our children on them. I cherish them.

I’ve gotta blow bubbles more often. That shiz was fun!

Cheers,

Cams
