Hey there, holiday-loving Mamas! We’re pretty excited about this week. This week has been declared PJs & Loungewear Week (by, uh, us), so every day this week, someone from the TME team will be posting about their favorite loungewear, sweatpants, leggings, or jammies.
I mean….pretty dresses and high heels are great and everything, but WE KNOW WHAT YOU WEAR THE MOST, MAMAS. WE KNOW.
So. Whether you are visiting the in-laws for the holidays and just want something cozy and cute to wear in the mornings (without worrying about wardrobe malfunctions), or you need something bright and cheery for Christmas morning photo ops…by the end of the week, consider yourself Shopping. Enabled.
It’s all for the greater good, of course. Because what makes a better gift than jammies or sweatpants?
NOTHING.
Yes, that’s fruitcake, Haters. I LOVE IT.
Outfit Details
On Me: J.Crew Knit Cotton Set in Polkadot (I’m wearing an XS for reference)….and Trees on Cars Socks
On Raines and Pax: Hanna Anderssen Starwars Christmas Set
The Goodies: The fruitcake is homemade. Supposedly it was my Grandmother’s recipe, but no one really adds enough booze to convince me of it’s validity. HOWEVER: You need to know about the chocolates. They’re Sayklly’s Seafoam (think: burnt sugar inside) and coated with dark chocolate and salt on the outside. The make me weep tears of joy, and are always part of our Christmas tradition. Best of all, they’re made in my hometown of the UP of Michigan, using secret family recipes (oooo….) that date back to 1906. YES.

Here’s what I like: cute, cozy…and a little bit sexy. But no satin, ever – I find it cold, unbreathable, and uncomfortable. But matching sets in cotton that harken back to Union Suits? Yes. Thermal everything? Yes. Menswear style jammies in real silk? HELL YES. And flannel PJs in pretty prints, the kind you cuff the sleeves, add some lipstick, and channel Zooey Deschanel? You betcha, doll.

I highly suggest Marks and Spencers for kids PJs. They have the softest 100% cotton flannel pajama sets.
You guys are on fire, lately. Love all of your ideas. Was hoping to find some sleepwear suggestion on tops/tanks that have some added support for the girls 00. I refuse to sleep in a bra and don’t really like to put one on first thing in the morning but I don’t need my boobs flopping around.
Perhaps I just need to be patient. Noticed it was PJ and loungewear WEEK so maybe more is to come…
Love the pjs! I’m having a little cry over here that the Star Wars pjs appear to be sold out in the size I need for my girls, but I love seeing them nonetheless!
Is Cams going to cover pjs and loungewear for those of us with overly long legs? I always find pants on regular sets to be short which… um, cold ankles? no thank you. So I end up buying VS menswear sets because they are frequently available in longs but they’re baggy (read not terribly attractive though comfy) and not of great quality (as in, I started tearing the buttons off the shirt under normal wear for 2-3 winters). I love the set that you’re wearing but those kinds of sets make the too-short-leg problem even more obvious.
I would also love to see this.
I second the long leg lounge pants edit
I need a 33-35 inch inseam and get all my pjs from Victoria’s Secret. The always have several options with pants in long length that are the perfect length and aren’t too spend.
Oh man. I broke out in a sweat just looking at these pj’s!
Us Southern Hemisphere readers suffer through 40°C Christmases Any chance of seeing some summer pyjamas this week?
Love you THANK YOU! Lol!
Drooling over that fruitcake.
You would love my family’s fruitcake. There is so much alcohol in it that the marzipan and royal icing starts melting the day after it’s decorated. Lol. The fruit is marinated in rum for six months. You add Guinness to the batter and then poke holes in it after it’s baked to pour more rum over it! And we all ate it as kids! I don’t know why my family thought that was ok???
Shana as the maker of said fruitcake I can attest that it was indeed homemade, your Grandmothers recipe and had a Mickey of brandy soaking in the fruit for a long while you need to let it rest for awhile to thoroughly enjoy the flavours Love your posts! Aunt Jan. Family fruitcake maker
