Friends. Do you remember the days of waking up on the weekend mornings, luxuriously on your own time, slipping into your flowy robe and soft slippers, easing your way to the kitchen for a cup of tea or coffee…and sliding back into your bed while you read a book or just lingered with your own thoughts for hours? Yeah, me neither. It’s too long ago or too far away. But. If by some magical aligning of the universe you could create just an hour or two of that kind of morning again…YES. I mean, we can try, right?
When Bloomingdale’s reached out about luxury bedding, my initial reaction was “I’m not worthy of luxury bedding!” But you know what, YES I AM! And I’m not saying having fabulous bedding equals better self-care, but if beautiful bedding is your thing? Well, then, yes, yes you should.
Create A Self-Care Retreat With Luxury Bedding
Whether you’re a mama who has forgotten what it was like to have that lovely morning solitude, or you’re a woman just starting out on your journey, and you feel like you have to be part of the rat race to keep up…we all deserve some restful moments to reenergize for life. I’ve been learning more about mindfulness and self-care over the past couple of years, and I’ve learned it doesn’t have to be perfect, it doesn’t have to be all the time, but it has to exist in your life. Whatever you can fit in. Those moments of downtime balance out the craziness, and help keep us able to give our best to everyone around us. If creating a beautiful space helps to do that, and it speaks to you and what you love, then create that space and take up that space and own it. (And also kick your family out for a bit so you can enjoy it solo!)
A Beautifully Fresh, Luxe Bedding Combo
Bloomingdale’s bedding options? Well. Can I just say gorgeous? I for one love mixing and matching when it comes to…well, anything. I was stoked to find this lovely blue floral sheet set I could pair with a crisp coordinating duvet and shams. I love the pop of blue in my fairly neutral bedroom. Striking blue and clean white together will always be one of my favorite color combos.
And the quality? SO gorgeous. A beautiful 100% cotton percale that will wash wonderfully and become our favorite set. I always go for solid sheets, but these are a whole new game-changer. I adore them. The duvet and shams are a crisp lovely bright white, 350 thread count cotton with a double satin stitch embroidered border, too. My bedroom feels like a legit hotel room now!
Camper thankfully is the most mindful of my family members when it comes to some ‘me’ time, so she got to stay. I enjoyed some of my favorite chocolate black tea with oat milk and indulged in actually reading this insanely gorgeous knitting magazine called Laine that I’ve had for months. It truly was a little staycation at home, topped off with fabulous new fancy linens for the perfect finishing touch.

What’s your favorite way to enjoy some quiet time to help reset you for the daily grind? Someday I’ll trust Sienna’s motor skills enough to bring me my coffee in bed and someday she might actually sleep past 7 am, too. Oh, the luxury of that. Wish us luck as we begin the summer break today, my friends!

Thank you so much to Bloomingdale’s for sponsoring this post. You continue to be one of our favorite places to find fabulous fashion, and now luxurious bedding, too. We love how wonderful your selections are and how easy it is to order from you! As usual, all choices, opinions and scheduled mom-time are my own. And readers, thank you so much for your continued support. It does not go unnoticed!

For my birthday I spent three days in bed, binge watching Netflix! My kids only came in for kisses (I used headphones when they were home to block out their noise). My husband was room service. And a masseuse came to my house each night! I’ve done the hotel momcation but I like my own bed and food much better. It was perfect!
Oh my gosh that sounds amazing!!!
ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?? This idea is GENIUS.
Camper! Somehow I missed this post when it came out last month so I am late commenting on what a good dog you are taking care of your Mom like that. Looks like you are a big help with her need to take a few days off from adult life. We should all follow her lead, and yours!
