Gang!! Since Memorial Day Sales started early this year, I actually got a few things in already and, frankly, they’re SO freaking good I had to share. (Huge thanks to D, Abby & Jeni for helping me churn this post out real quick!!)
Below are my absolute favorite things from Abercrombie and J.Crew right now, as well as a few Adidas pieces that, well, didn’t fit, but are good enough to exchange. Since there’s definitely a huge sell-out risk right now, let’s get right into it!

What I Bought At Abercrombie
I’ve been eyeing up Abercrombie’s linen collection for a couple of years now, but haven’t pulled the trigger because, well…it’s Abercrombie (if you’re as old as me, you know). But anyway. Their stuff has been looking pretty consistently great, and their linen blends are now linen and viscose (plant based), not polyester so….fine. Let’s try.
1. This Seriously Cute Linen Mini Dress

This dress is actually a linen/cotton blend (there is some polyester in the lining, tho), but it’s GOOD. I love that Abercrombie does come in petite, regular, and small sizes, and this dress fits pretty TTS. This vintage-y pattern is sold out, but the beige pattern & white strawberry are seriously cool, too. (It’s also available in solid colors, as well.) I love that the bustline is wide – giving a sense of low neckline – but no one is seeing down your shirt. And the straps are adjustable, too. I highly recommend.
2. This Matching Set That Is Both Playful AND Tailored

Ok. Ok. THIS is a linen-viscose blend and it’s….wildly soft. Much softer than the dress above. (Quote from Jeni: “This doesn’t feel like Abercrombie…this doesn’t FEEL LIKE ABERCROMBIE.”) It’s soft and breezy and – yes – the pants come in short, regular, or long lengths. I sized up to a 28 (I hate when the waistband is tight around my softer middle), but the top is TTS. I especially love that this set walks a fine line between Hi, I’m A Playful Linen Set and Hello, I’m A Seriously Tailored Business Set.
3. This Cute Linen Top (With Madewell Flares)

Another linen/viscose blend, and it’s sooooo ridiculously soft. The super subtle cutouts make it special, and the overall cut of this top strikes me as really different and unique. Available in both white or black. Fits TTS.
What I Bought At J.Crew
In addition to J.Crew swim (which I’ve talked about before), and my guys’ shirts, I went really hard on dresses.
1. The Best Dress For Summer Heat
If you are looking for the coolest possible dress to beat summer’s heat…this is IT. 100% cotton poplin, and SO light & airy! Black underwear will show through, but nude underwear completely disappears. This will be the dress I wear when it’s over 90 degrees. It has really great, swingy lines and is truly a unique piece. Once again, Jeni summed it up best: “The cutest little tent I ever did see!”
2. This Cute Linen Dress With Vintage Vibes
Yes. Yes. Yes. This 100% linen dress is my Going To Hang Out In Europe This Summer dress. Downsides? Straps aren’t adjustable (which, annoying) but a really easy tailoring ask. (They fit pretty perfect on me, tho, fwiw.) The dress fits a tiiiiny bit big – which is why I sized down to an XS – but it also runs a little narrow through the hips, so keep that in mind before sizing down.
3. This Linen Tee That Belongs On A Boat

Um hiiiiiii. This tee is 100% linen and SO CUTE. I like that I have something to cover my shoulders when they’ve had enough sun.
4. A Sexy Crochet Cover-Up I’ll Wear As a Dress
While the ‘natural’ version of this dress struck me as too granny (or maybe just too boho, which is not really my thing), I LOVED the black. It’s a super soft, 100% cotton dress, that’s probably meant to be a cover-up (it’s see through). And look at the BACK:
I plan to wear it out, though, not just over a swimsuit. With black, full coverage underwear and a cute black bra, it’s deeply sexy, and a really easy (and comfy!!) way to rock that mesh, see-thru trend.
What I Bought At Adidas
hoodie (s) | sweats (xs) | sandals
This is cute, no? Like a sweatsuit, but fancier. The problem I’m having is that one, the pants are too small. I am not an XS in Adidas anything. And two, the pants are – with black underwear – see-thru. Which I may have gotten over if they fit. However!! The idea, in general, is great. And that cropped hoodie is perfection – such a pretty color, no? It’s literally called “magic beige” and is also available in this wide-leg tracksuit (on sale) or these cool cargo pants (not on sale).

Do the cream adidas pants (which look terrific on you) run big? I’m confused by the write up. They look long (tall women rejoice)!
They are VERY long!! I think they likely fit TTS…I just don’t want them tight on my waist. 🙂
