Metallic Red Boots, Three Ways

Well, friends, I was a little concerned about sharing these looks with you for a hot minute. I thought my mood would be #sad instead of #psyched because I bought some killer metallic red boots and styled them up…THEN THEY COMPLETELY SOLD OUT.

Womp womp. Yep.

BUT…alas! Thanks to the magic of the internet (and Vince Camuto), an almost exact pair came out (for even less than my killer boots) and well, dang it for me. Good news for you, though!

Whew. OK, now we can move on to some fun looks with fun boots. (Pssst…when you’re done with this one, head over to our Holiday Style Central for more outfit ideas and party inspo.)

Shine On: Metallic Boots To Make A Statement

I went the metallic red route because I’ve been obsessed with this pair in particular for months. You can easily swap in a fun patent leather pair or another metallic colored boot to get the same vibe.

I styled up a few festive looks plus a very everyday look (as everyday as shiny red boots get, that is). Red boots + everyday = fab.

1. Metallic Boots + Green Leopard Print + Black Jeans

Subtle bling on lock = metallic ankle boots. We're rockin' boots that make a statement w/out overkill. Just add texture & pattern for daily streetstyle goodness.

Sweatshirt // (similar) Lucky Brand Cheetah Print Top – I’m in love with green leopard/cheetah print this fall. And in this outfit combo, it reads only slightly festive, but totally wearable outside of the holidays.

Jeans // Frame Le Skinny Crop – TTS and more of a mid-rise. Love the fabric and the wash. Size up if in-between sizes. Good on the booty!

Boots // (similar but spot on!) Vince Camuto Arlo Boot – These are spot-on similar to mine, which recently sold out. But yay! They make quite a statement, but I love them! AND these are more reasonably priced. The notes say to size up a half a size.

Bag // Rebecca Minkoff Mini MAC – I adore this. It’s big enough to carry all the stuff but small enough for a night out. The chain adds the right amount of bling/shine to any look!

2. Metallic Boots + Olive Green + A Leopard or Camel Coat

Subtle bling on lock = metallic ankle boots. We're rockin' boots that make a statement w/out overkill. Just add texture & pattern for daily streetstyle goodness.

Coat // (similar, cozy and $100) Mural Faux Fur Leopard Coat – Also this one from Boden is cute; a wool blend instead of faux fur.

Sweater Dress // Everlane The Cashmere Turtleneck Dress (xs) – Love this. It’s cozy and great over jeans like I hoped. I’ll also try it with tights and my OTK boots soon. I’m not much for short dresses in general, but pairing them with tights and tall boots keeps you warmer and feels more flattering. This runs a little big so I sized down; the arms are fitted on me (but not uncomfortable) and the body is perfect.

Jeans // (similar) AG Sophia Ankle – A similar version to the pair I’m wearing above. This pair of Levi’s look great, too. I honestly feel like the ones I’m wearing are just a leetle too cropped for these boots.

Boots // (similar but spot on!) Vince Camuto Arlo Boot – These are spot-on similar to mine, which have recently sold out. But yay! And these are more reasonable. The notes say to size up by half a size.

3. Metallic Boots + Black & White Plaid + Blue Jeans

Blazer // (similar) Treasure & Bond Plaid Blazer – Super cute and under $100. And this one is adorable and comes in sizes xxs-3x.

Tee // (similar) Anine Bing Tee (want) OR… this one is also cute.

Jeans // (similar) Paige Sarah Slim look really close or these from H&M do, too. Mine are cropped, so don’t be afraid to crop them just above your favorite pair of ankle boots! Mine are just skimming/clearing the red boots above. I love this length to pair with a ton of my shoes. The only thing this length doesn’t really work with are very low-ankle shaft boots.

Similar statement boots to try plus a few others in case red’s not your thing…

If you have any favorite ways to rock a shiny statement boot this time of year, I’d love to hear your combos! It’s nice to pair them with casual pieces and muted shades and patterns so all the attention is on them! Or, you know, just throw on a giant leopard coat and call it good, betch.

I’ve totally never written that before, but it feels good. Must be the shoes…
