Mom Street Style: Amber Took Our Advice…With Rashguards!

Mamas, I recieved this charming email from Amber:

Thank you so much for posting your sexy rash guards post.  I went right online and bought the JCrew suit.  I love it!

I love the suit.  It's well made.  Even my two boys told me I looked pretty.  My eight year old said he likes the mis match and the neon.   Thanks for the compliments!

Doesn't she look great?  I love when I can see readers actually wearing the stuff we recommend.  SO much fun!

Thanks,  Amber!  You look fabulous!

  1. I went straight to the Lands’ End site and bought a bikini (my first. Ever.) and a cute patterned rash guard (for 40% off!!!). I feel more comfortable and confident than I have in years, even after three kids! Thanks for the recommendation, and for showcasing so many readers!

  2. I actually bought two rash guards from J. Crew after reading your post. Another benefit to wearing them is I don’t have to count on my kids to apply sunscreen properly to my back when I take them to the pool by myself. I got a pretty weird sunburn last summer due to their less than stellar application! 😀

  3. This mama looks super! but i have a challenge for you now i know you dont have this problem and i dont know if other mamas out there have this same issue but im okay above the belly still looking a little preggo after 4 kids baby who is 7 months now but my legs have developed tons of veins i look super young from waste up below that hummmm maybe 50!? so this year i dont see myself no where at the beach/pool and i feel bad that my kids dont get to play with me in the water hummmmm unless i can find length knee boardshorts that are super cute maybe sexy?

  4. Aw, thanks guys! I am “fashion blind” and really appreciate the suggestions on this blog. It is the best! Marjorie, I run four miles three times a week and do Pilates and strength training three days a week. I’m also vegan, so that helps. Thanks so much for all the nice words!

  5. i am with you, ivy. i need to cover the thighs up, which i don’t know how to do while at the beach. i would even wear a bikini top, but the thighs…no no nooo. i just wear a bathing suit anyway but i feel soooo awkward and i do the mad dash from the water to the towel. :/
and i am definitely not wearing a swim dress.

  6. Gina there is another post here regarding what to wear to the beach 2011 omg! boardshorts bikinni top or rashguard bikinni bottom ha!, my fat belly and old lady legs! i just had a baby well he is 7 months and 3 little ones under 5, i still look like im 4 months preggo so need to cover that area and my legs are of a 75 year old im 38 need to cover the legs! so i cant wear anything but a coat to the beach/pool i just purchased boradshorts and a sporty tank top but i have to admit i look like sponge bob square pants like that, there is just no hope for me till i loose pounds im 5’3 152lbs.
