There’s nothing better than dancing with the one you love.
Dancing, learning to dance, or just connecting with your partner in this way is different. You’ll laugh, you may argue, but you’ll grow as a couple. With dance, you have to work together and communicate through your body — not your words. Don’t talk, just feel each other! When I tell that to my students, I usually get a response of, “Uhhh……?” Yeah, I know.
“I want to do bachata partnering lessons on our YouTube channel. But I have to start from the beginning and teach people the basics. What do you think?” I asked Shana.
“I think that’s awesome!” She replied. “Skip the basics, and just make it fun and sexy.”
“Um…OK?” The teacher in me was cringing. How do I teach people without teaching them the basics? That’s like learning to write sentences without knowing your ABCs.
When it comes to bachata and Shana, it has to be Fun and Sexy. Wait, who am I kidding…SAME! That means lots of head rolls, body rolls, spins and dips! So, here it is, the perfect date night idea: a fun and sexy bachata lesson!
Grab Your Dance Partner: A Fun + Sensual Bachata Lesson For Beginners
Are you ready for this ride? Hop on and try it out. This will challenge you if you’ve never partner danced before. Unsure if you want to get up and try? Check out my bachata partner routine in the video below and see.
Once you start learning bachata, you’ll love it. Bachata is way easier to learn than salsa, and that special person in your life will appreciate that. Even if you’ve never danced before, bachata is a dance that’s perfect for beginners — and will make for an epic at-home date night.

I promise I’ll do a YouTube series for bachata dancing starting at the beginning and working you up to this point. It may be boring for Shana (wink, wink), but I think you’ll enjoy it. Learning at home makes organizing life around busy schedules easier. It’s your chance to slow down the world and take time to connect with each other with lots of laughs, teamwork and sensuality.
