I’ve had a pair of pants in my closet for over three years now, and I’m not afraid to say that are one of the best purchases of my entire life.
They’ve especially been my salvation during those times when I feel like my body isn’t in sync with most of my clothes — at 30+ weeks pregnant…the postpartum period when I didn’t know what to wear….recovering from my abdominal repair surgery (and the many swollen months that followed). Even just a few weeks ago, when I had to get a scar revision surgery, I literally wore them four days straight.
The Faux Leather Pants Missing From Your Closet
Even when I reach for them at times I maybe don’t need to wear something so forgiving, it’s then I tell myself “this is one of your best purchases, ever.”
These faux leather pants, in my mind, immediately equal put together, stylish, chic and cool. They’re insanely comfortable since they’re “joggers” and more importantly…they are VERSATILE.
Here are three ways I wear them…
P.S. Pics taken six days post-surgery.
3 Ways To Wear Faux Leather Joggers
1. Faux Leather Joggers For A Night Out
Do you have a blouse with some interesting detail? A bow, print, or nice sleeves? Finish it off with your favorite heels and a bag in a fun color, and you’re good to go!

Pants – Sadly, these pants are old. For years I’ve been wanting to talk about them but never found a pair similar enough, but now? Well, there’s so many to choose from. Check at the end of the post for the ones that make the cut.
Top – Reformation Blouse – It seems my exact top is sold out, but this is the same fabric and print. Most times I wear mine untied so it looks more like a shirt. However, if what you like is the silhouette, this is a close one.
Shoes – Via Spiga Giana Slingback pumps (similar) – Mine are AGL and I got them during the Nordstrom Sale, but these are very similar and have great reviews.
Bag – Rebecca Minkoff Jean (similar) – You’ll never go wrong with a red bag to add a pop of color to any outfit.
2. Faux Leather Joggers For Travel-Chic Style
Nothing like traveling in comfy sweatpants. Take your airport look to another level with faux-leather joggers.

Sweater – Madewell (similar) – Madewell is one of my favorite places for sweaters. I got mine last year and have worn it so many times.
Boots – Everlane Western Boots (similar) – I recently updated the boots in this pic for the Everlane western. See the full post here.
3. Faux Leather Joggers = Casual-Chic + Your Fave Sneakers
Not very much into leather on leather. But I can do suede on leather in different colors.

Jacket – [BLANKNYC] biker suede jacket – Probably my most-worn jacket after my black biker one. Over a year of regular wear and I’m still not tired of it. This color is “El dorado” but there are so many to choose from.
Sweater – Everlane Wrap Cashmere sweater – Everlane has become my favorite place for affordable cashmere sweaters. I got it in cider and the rust color.
Shoes – Everlane Tread – *Sustainable pick* Not only are they sustainable, but also super-comfortable and stylish. One con: they run small, so make sure to size up.

Question: I’ve tried on faux-leather joggers and immediately felt “hot”, like I was wearing an insulated plastic bag. Have you experienced this?
Good question, so with mine I have not. Did the ones you tried on have the soft, suede-like backing that felt nice on the skin…or were they more of a plastic like fabric with a leathery finish? Mine are very soft on the inside and I love wearing them during the cold season. One thing I did struggle at first was the sound the faux-leather would make when my thighs touched each others when walking, but I just apply a little but of baby oil and it’s fine.
Yes, the ones I tried had a soft felt-like lining- which felt great- but added to the heat factor. I’m so tempted to give them a try… thanks for the feedback!
