Weekly Sales Report 5.10

Happy Friday! Before we all dive into Mother’s Day plans (cheers, mamas!), let’s treat ourselves to the best sales this weekend.

And what a treat this one is… save up to 50% on Mother’s Day gifts from Colleen Rothschild! Top pick, hands down, is their cleansing balm. I don’t know about you, but I’ve never felt more at peace than being showered and in bed by 9pm with a squeaky clean face. For a really luxe pampers sesh, grab their nourishing moisturizer (under $50) and this brightening serum, too. Glowy skin, incoming.

While we’re in the self-gifting mood, here are a few more random finds on sale this weekend: We give this sexy self-care massager (😉) top reviews | Need a full-length mirror to upgrade your getting-ready sanctuary? This one’s a steal, over $100 off with nearkly 3K 5-star reviews!| And S recently upgraded her running socks with Bombas — we’re loving this everyday pair, too (use code: MOMEDIT for 15% off).

Shana’s Top Sale Picks

Hey gang! Jumping in this week simply because it’s Mother’s Day weekend, and I’m indulging in a little online browsing of truly gorgeous things. I still have a Weekend post to finish, so let me get right to the point: there’s some seriously good sh*t on sale.

Dress (M) | Tank (M), Pants (6P)

ONE: This Charlie Holiday dress is a whopping 50% off at Anthro, making it only $59. It’s not for everyone (you can tell by the mixed reviews) but here’s why I LOVE this dress: 100% cotton!! So breathable! So comfortable! If you, like me, like the idea of bodycon dresses, but usually find mesh or other stretchy fabrics too itchy or hot, this dress is perfect. If you have hips, it does run small, but if you are more apple shape or straight up & down, it runs pretty TTS (I’m wearing a medium, or a size 6, which is my typical size in designer/European brands/Reformation).

TWO: Oh wow – Athleta has some serious favs on sale right now, including my longtime favorite Aurora ribbed workout tank (this high-neck style, as pictured or the original – both are great), as well as these wide-leg Brooklyn trousers. They look enough like trousers to wear out, but they’re an impossibly lightweight technical fabric with the most comfortable elastic waistband. Sooooo good. Wearing a medium in the top and 6 petite in the trousers.

Gang, this shopping widget is LONG. But there were soooo many truly beautiful pieces, browsing is an absolute joy right now. Enjoy!!

Hey hey, Friday! Glad to be back at it after a relaxing and fun few days off helping my pal at her photography conference. The Columbia River Gorge is my happy place and if you haven’t been out there (White Salmon, WA + Hood River, OR are just 1 hour outside Portland) I highly recommend! Book a little stay at The Society Hotel and thank me later. Also, take some time for yourself sometimes, mamas. I stopped feeling guilty about doing that a couple of years ago and gahh…it’s game-changing when it comes to my own mental health. This is definitely the weekend to start planning that for yourself! Xo

I haven’t looked at anything online all week, so hopping back into sale-finding is proving quite fun. My top pick is this Gap linen blend midi skirt I’ve been eyeing up lately (in black), 40% off and the cut is gorgeous and sleek. I’d pair it with this lovely matching tank in black (or maybe white? Idk). That set would be perfect for travel since you could mix and match with other pieces. It also comes in a gorgeous red and a blue print that I like. Ooh and this woven silver bag is one of the cutest I’ve seen! And it’s currently $27 off at Anthropologie. Metallic bags wind up acting like jewelry and are one of my fav styling pieces since I don’t wear a ton of jewelry itself. So good. Here are a couple more picks…

Jeans (8), Vest (LP) | Pants (10R)

ONE: These pinstripe flares from my recent Wit & Wisdom try-on are 25% off. They have that comfy supportive waistband I’ve raved about and are super cute, even to this gal who typically doesn’t wear a lot of flares. Highly recommend them! Under $80 now, on sale! Click through to see the cute sailor pant-style buttons. TTS.

TWO: I guess the theme is pinstripe today because my linen blend Gap vest and matching trousers are also on sale! 40% off everything at Gap right now, and an extra 10% off for card members. Score! I sized up in the vest for more room in the ribcage and the trousers too because I knew they weren’t stretch. I love love this combo and can’t wait to wear it to a graduation in Nashville soon!

So, my little firecracker, Greenlea, ended up joining the elementary school track team. Let’s just say, she’s not exactly head over heels for it. Running doesn’t come easy to her, but she’s out there, running her little heart out, and I couldn’t be prouder—even if I am biting my nails watching her struggle. She has to sign up for her top 3 choices for events for their big meet (exactly one), and she wants to choose the 4×200 relay, the 100m dash, and shotput (no idea where that came from). I gently suggested she give the mile a shot, considering her family’s history of distance running, and to my surprise, she agreed…so tonight, we’ll be tackling the Little Carp 1 Mile race together—an event for kids preceding a big 20K/5K race this weekend. Fingers crossed she doesn’t hate me for this one—wish us luck! 🤞

As far as sales go, these nipple covers are literally life-changing (I hate strapless bras, and these make it so much easier to go without), the denim detail in these sneakers is so cute, and despite some reviewers saying the beads fall off, I can’t stop thinking about this bag…the lime or turquoise is calling my name!

Sandals | Sweater (s, runs big), Jeans (6)

ONE: These studded sandals (30% off!) are my new favorites. I love the zipper on the heel that makes them easy to take off/put on and the details are so fun. They’re flat so they’re easy to walk in, too…and they come in a bunch of colors (I’m wearing goldmine here, but love the sandshell color as well.) Bodysuit (s) | Jeans (28) | Similar Bag

TWO: This sweater has finally gone on sale! I’ve been stalking it since trying it on and it’s now 46% off…such a unique and fresh design, too. My flare jeans are on sale for 40% off, too.

Anyone else’s brain consumed with the new TTPD set that was added to the Eras Tour yesterday?! I’m counting down until today’s livestream to watch it all over again – the costumes (those JACKETS!!) had my jaw on the flooooor. Now I’m over here trying to convince myself I don’t need to buy tickets to Europe to catch a show this summer. I don’t need to buy tickets to Europe, I don’t need to buy…

After a few weeks of being mostly unamused by the sale options, this weekend has items that are actually making me really excited – I wish I had one of these yesterday for a Mother’s Day Tea I went to, so I just promptly added one to cart as it’s something I’ll use all the time. And speaking of live music earlier, if you’re taking your daughter to an Olivia Rodrigo concert this summer (or going yourself, she’s incredible), I just stumbled upon this skirt that would be AMAZING with a graphic tee (add Doc Martens to fit into the Rodrigo crowd). This isn’t necessarily the graphic tee I would add with the outfit, BUT it’s on sale and such a great graphic option for neutral-lovers (those are hard to find).

Tank (L, Tall), Hoodie (L), Shorts (M) | Shortalls (M), Bag

ONE: I’ve been looking everywhere for summer tops (that I actually like – that’s the tough part) to wear when it’s truly toasty outside and finally landed on these ribbed tank tops that I’m in love with. They are really soft and super well made, and have a handful of fun color combos as well as a few solid options – and all 40% off at checkout! I’m wearing the tall.

TWO: I wore these overalls on repeat last year and loved them so much I grabbed the shorts version this spring. Thanks to the unique (and rad looking) shoulder straps these are SUPER easy to pull on and off for quick bathroom runs (they’re so easy for amusement parks, travel, etc). You can scoop up the color black for 30% off at Nordstrom or even snag my color at Backcountry with their 20% off (1 full price item) deal happening right now (they have the railroad stripe shortalls, too!).

Happy Friday, friends. Tomorrow, my mom, my aunt and I are driving down to Monterey to participate in a Walk Of Remembrance honoring the Chinese Fishing Village community that my family descended from. We did it last year, and seeing photos and hearing stories of my ancestors’ home on the shores of Point Lobos – which just so happens to be one of my favorite places in the world – was so very cool. An especially appropriate way to spend part of Mother’s Day weekend.

For me, top sales this weekend kick off at Gap. I have this dress in my cart in both the black and the red (try using code ADDON on top of the F&F promo – it saved me an extra 20%). This pullover sweater has the perfect neckline for layering over a casual tee or button-up (surprisingly, I’m most drawn to the blue). And these might be…so ugly they’re cute? I’d have to see them in real life, but I’m definitely drawn to the black or the red. (These are also on sale, would be much easier to style and look far more expensive than they are.) Have a great weekend, pals!

I wear these overalls allllll the time and always receive comments, and right now, they’ve been restocked in the classic railroad stripe colorway (the wash is arguably a bit more wearable than mine, which has a little more distressing and fading) – and they’re 30% off. Mine are a size small because I bought them when I was pregnant. If you’re between and unsure, I’d go up and wear them a little more oversized.
