The kids’ bathroom was SUCH a fun project for me! I knew I wanted it to be a little brighter and airier than ours, but still had to incorporate my blues. I think probably any upgrade from what it was would have been great, but I really couldn’t be happier with the outcome!
Kids’ Bathroom Decor Inspo: Before & After
Most people decide to go with a blind or shade in their bathroom, but I just love the cozier feel a drape gives, so I went with a Classic Sailcloth Blackout Curtain from Pottery Barn Teen. The sailcloth is a very durable and easy to clean fabric!
Finding The Perfect Mirror
I ordered this 24″ Black Umbra Mirror off Amazon and it’s perfect for in here. I wanted something a little on the smaller size, as to not compete with the vanity or the 2-Light Armed Sconce. I really feel like this is the perfect size… I’m also happy I went with the black to break up all the brass elements a bit!
Anchoring With A Vanity
I knew I wanted a navy blue vanity for the kids’ bathroom, and I love the one we ended up with! Although this one is no longer available, I found a super-similar one here for a great price! And this Kingston Brass Faucet works perfectly with it!
Tie The Bathroom Decor Together With Wallpaper
Last but not least, I found this AMAZING Jovanny Spanish Tile Wallpaper on Wayfair for an unbelievable price! A lot of people have a lot of questions about how wallpaper would work in a full bathroom with the shower steam and whatnot. As long as you have a good quality paper, a professional installation, and a good ventilation system (we always run our fan whenever the kids shower or run the bath and this prevents the steam from accumulating!) you should be good to go! I would not bump this right up against the shower or tub in case you have a kid who likes to splash a lot, and even if you didn’t want to do all the walls, you could just do a really cool feature wall with this paper in your bathroom!
