These Wide-Leg Jeans Are Sexy As Hell

I first discovered how amazing Veronica Beard’s jeans are back in 2022…and by “discovered,” I mean finally bought a pair just to try on. I had no intention of actually keeping them…until I tried them on. And then I was like, “holy s*&t, these are the best jeans I’ve ever put on my body,” (and immediately called Shana to tell her about them).

They have become my number one go-to jeans for every time I want to slay. Any time I want to look dead sexy? These jeans. Any time I need a confidence boost? These jeans. Every. Single. Time.

And since I bought them in 2022, the price per wear is absolutely on point–they have been worth every penny.

Veronica Beard Jeans Are Still Sexy As Hell

So when I saw these on-trend wide-leg jeans from Veronica Beard, I thought…worth a try, right? I probably won’t keep them…I’ll just try…and OMG they did it again.

Where to buy: shopbop | Saks | Veronica Beard (lighter wash) | Nordstrom (multiple washes)

Crafted from the same denim blend as the beloved Veronica Beard flares I adore (92% cotton/6% elastomultiester/2% elastane), the denim itself is soft and comfortable, and stretches to fit curves perfectly. The wide-leg silhouette provides the same leg-lengthening effect as the flares but with a vibe that feels more current and fashion-forward.

They fit at the waist, eliminating any gaps, yet they don’t constrict around wider hips or larger booties. And because they’re stretchy and not too rigid, they don’t bulge out around the belly even when sitting down.

Like the first pair of Veronica Beard jeans I fell in love with, these run about one size small. I’m typically a 6/28 in most jeans but a 29 in Veronica Beard…these were perfect. (The stretchy denim helps with sizing, too.)

At 34″ they’re definitely too long for me (I didn’t have a chance to get them hemmed before taking these pictures), but will be long enough for the tall ladies as well! I’m wearing my highest wedge sandals here to make them work, but I plan on getting them hemmed asap.

Because of the impeccable fit of these jeans, my usual choice to complement them is a bodysuit or a shorter top in order to highlight the waistline. And when it comes to basic bodysuits, it’s hard to beat Abercrombie’s. They consistently deliver comfortable and flattering options at a price that doesn’t break the bank (and they hold up well even with lots of wear). This one is 95% cotton (with 5% elastane for stretch), insanely soft, and comes in a ton of colors.

So from this 5’4″ girl who feels like a tall, sexy lady when wearing these jeans, thank you Veronica! You did it again. 🙌🏼
