I’m a big fan of color, but there’s honestly no better time to wear it than springtime.

There’s something about the wildflowers popping up everywhere and the warming sun making everything appear brighter that makes me crave vibrant, happy outfits – more so than any other time of the year. Sooo, when I realized my favorite adidas track pants (you know the ones: the vintage, throwback-to-our-sporty-days-of-youth pair with all those snaps down the side) are now being made in just about every dreamy color imaginable, I snatched up a pair so fast.

Ahem, well, my third pair of the Adibreak Pants, actually, because YES, they are THAT amazing (especially for a busy mom life).

adidas Has All The Best Colors For Spring (& I Can’t Get Enough Of Yellow)

The obsession with these Adibreak Pants started over a year ago, when I styled up a simple black pair with the growing colorful sneaker trend. I immediately loved how they were an easy, modern swap for leggings in my athleisure outfits.

After writing that post, I, uh, never stopped wearing them.

I jumped at the chance to scoop them up in a dusty rose this past fall, and once I spotted them in a vibrant yellow a few weeks back? I was done for.

I so rarely collect something in multiple colors in my adult life unless it’s mind-blowingly-exceptional, so this is proof that these pants truly go the distance in my wardrobe.

Past the obvious comfort factor these swooshy pants provide, having colorful pants in my closet has been a main focus for this era of my life. My outfits feel more expressive, and it scratches a creative itch in my brain to pair outfits together with corresponding colors instead of, you know, black on black or simple light neutrals.

Farm Rio collaborated with adidas on a handful of items again this season (a collab I’ve been stocking on the website for awhile now) and I was so excited to get my hands on one of the hoodies. But, WOW, was it hard to choose a color.

The sweatshirt is a light athletic material, very similar to the pants, making it an ideal option for warming spring days. It feels perfectly resistant to chilly wind (especially along the ocean), and the hood is actually big enough for my large head – a must-have requirement for ultimate comfort.

Incorporating yellow into my wardrobe is actually something I haven’t done in awhile, and have been really excited to do so.

I also scooped up the Adicolor Trefoil Boxy Tee once I read the RAVING reviews (it’s now my new favorite boxy tee, having the dreamiest vintage softness to it), and was ecstatic to find a pair of 3-Stripes Summer Shorts in the same sunny hue (it’s my goal to have zero need for denim shorts this summer).

I slowed my roll with the yellow at that point, but I’ve got my eyes on these sneakers next… once you start I guess it’s hard to stop.

If you’re craving color, even a specific shade (like, idk, yellow?) adidas is the best place to shop around right now. From their Adicolor line (please go look at the gorgeous violet color) to their collab with Farm Rio and allll of their iconic sneakers, their website is practically a gold mine.

New Favorite Dad Sneaker: The Spiritain 2000 Shoes

The Spiritain 2000 Shoes are some of the most comfortable “dad sneakers” I’ve ever worn…and I own a lot in that style from all the major brands.

It was a happy little discovery of just how bouncy and cushiony these shoes were from first wear that I am honestly surprised I hadn’t heard of them before (I even got my mom hooked on them). If you’re headed to a Disney park or have a summer vacation planned with a lot of walking, get these and thank me later.

Xx,
Amy
