ONE: Beauty Tools! Nordstrom’s Black Friday sale is the unsung hero of beauty buys, especially those pricier tools. For example, this triple barrel beach waver (think: easy, fast, and perfect for days when dry shampoo isn’t *quite* cutting it), or – just added – the Dyson Airwrap at $100 off!! The Dyson Airwrap is freaking amazing if you have long hair. (When I cut mine shorter a couple of years ago, I didn’t love it nearly as much, but now that my hair is long again, my Airwrap is, once again, getting a ton of use.)
TWO: Some everyday favs, like Free People’s fancy top (basically made from t-shirt fabric), Levi’s flares (how I make cropped or shorter tops work), and, most importantly, these Vince pull-on pants. They’re a linen blend, yes, but because of the impeccable tailoring, they don’t necessarily vibe as a summer pant, so I’ve been happily wearing them in cold weather, too (my hot flashes thank me, haha).
THREE: Bags! Tumi makes the best laptop backpacks, hands down, and the color that’s on sale – oxblood – is a surprisingly good neutral. ONE: These Marc Fisher boots have been such a level-up for my wide leg pants/jeans outfits lately and they’re so comfy. They’re one of the few dressier boots I wear on repeat and they’re now down to $132 from $188 in the ivory shade I love. TTS and such a fresh pop for darker winter outfits. LOVE them.
TWO: This Zella quilted jacket is so cute and one of those pieces I regret not grabbing this summer. Well, it’s back on sale for 35% off and I’m stoked. ONE: This Free People sweater AND the AG jeans I’m wearing it with are both on sale. I LOVE these jeans because they’re the perfect wash of black/grey…and they’re super soft and comfortable (they’re made with Lyocell!). And nothing is better than a cozy oversized sweater during the colder months.
TWO: Ooh this is the lowest price I’ve seen for this Bernardo jacket! Water-resistant with a removable bib and straps to wear it like a backpack when you go inside somewhere (love that detail!).

ONE: Eileen Fisher Gems. So… there are some Eileen Fisher fans who were NOT happy with this sweater (check out the angry reviews)… but I LOVE it. Gorgeous rich brown color, perfect length for my high rise jeans, and typical to Eileen Fisher beautiful swing and drape. Comes in a stunning blue too. This chic sweater is also a fab Eileen Fisher piece to add to the mix that’s on sale….ooooh or this lightweight swingy cardi.

ONE: Joe’s Mia Jeans (27) – There’s a fresh winter version of my favorite Mia Jeans available now. They’re super comfy and versatile, perfect for dressing up or down, and I practically live in them. They pair amazingly with long coats and cropped puffer jackets.
TWO: Frame Barrel Leg Jeans (27) – While horseshoe jeans are way too clowny on my petite/short legged body, I just got these barrel jeans and wow. I love the tapered at the bottom and the length here is so elongating for us, petites. I’m playing around with more outfits to decide, but so far they are keepers.

ONE: The cuuutest cardigan that can be worn open, layered over another top, or tied up as its own statement piece. I recently saw someone wear it tucked slightly into their jeans which gave it a whole different look, and you better believe I’m trying that on the next chilly day. I took my true size and loved it, but it is naturally oversized.
TWO: I blinked a few times and rubbed my eyes to make sure I was really seeing it correctly: these jeans (TTS) never go on sale, at least not before the sizes are picked over. This is one of my most favorite, unique pairs in my closet – they pass as a cargo style, but the pockets all lay very flat and minimal, making the jean extremely flattering and easy to wear (and feels more classic/less trendy in return). PS: the coat is in this sale, too! Size down one or two, though – it’s big.

Boots (TTS), Jeans (size down one, 24), Similar Sweater (TTS, S) | Hand Salve
ONE: These Sorel Brex Boots are such multitaskers. They look and wear like a chunky soled Chelsea boot, but they’ve got all the winter performance properties of a genuine Sorel snow boot. We’re talking extreme traction on the soles (I literally tripped walking on the hardwood in my house in my house when they were new because they’re so grippy, ha), plus they’re weatherproof. Perfect for mild winters here where any other style of boot can look overkill – but they’re definitely designed to handle the real sludgy stuff. True to size. Also on sale in black with a citron heel and in black with a higher heel. (Oh! And I just realized – my Levi’s Ribcage Jeans are back in stock and on sale, too! I size down one in this exact wash, and the butt is SO good.)
TWO: A serious savior for truly dry, chapped hands, we stock up on this Kiehl’s Ultimate Strength Hand Salve every year. I keep one in my nightstand and one in the car and they truly save my hands (and elbows, and heels!) in the winter. Right now, for reasons I can’t understand, the 5 ounce size is half-off, making it less than the travel size. Stocking up and buying a couple to stash as gifts, too.

ONE: Free People’s Oversized Chamomile Cardigan – I had been on the hunt for an amazing oversized cardigan for a long time until I finally found this one. It’s super high quality with thick, lightly ribbed knit fabric and comes in three other perfect colors. ALSO, the Levi’s high-waist straight leg jeans I’m wearing in BOTH pictures above are also on major sale and still fully stocked, yay!
TWO: I have to say, I love this Orion A-Line sweater by Free People even more than I thought I would. It gives the most amazing flowy-swishy vibes of all my Free People sweaters. I especially love that it’s cut on the side, for an extra breeziness effect and it’s longer in the back than in the front, for superior bum coverage. It also helps that this sweater is currently 30% off at Nordstrom – and so are the Levi’s Ribcage Ripped High Waist Ankle Straight Leg Jeans I’m wearing too!

ONE: I just did a massive snow boot try-on and review that’s going up on our YouTube channel tomorrow, and one of the boots I tried is the Timberland Moriah boots above that are now on sale. These are fantastic – waterproof, great traction, cozy, and lined.
TWO: White button-up shirts are a closet staple. I really love this shirt in particular because it’s tailored to be straight across at the hem and hit at the waist, so the style does not require you to tuck it in. Chic and simple.

What’s the thought on hose with dresses/skirts in winter these days? Not fancy but work-appropriate. Are we wearing black opaque tights again? W sock boots or lug soles or tall/knee boots? I never see dresses except for dressy events it seems. Maybe that’s the take away? Pants are more fashion-forward than dresses right now?
