I love Sam Edelman shoes. My favorite sandal of all time, the Patti, is by Sam Edelman and I can’t say enough about how comfortable those shoes are. I’ve literally spent all day walking in them, all night dancing in them, and they are far and away more comfortable than any other dress sandals I’ve worn. (Reviewers agree with me!) They’re my favorite heels to wear with everything from ripped jeans to little black dresses. So, when Macy’s reached out asking us to look at their Sam Edelman shoes for fall I couldn’t volunteer fast enough. Although I love their sandals, fall is coming . . . and these tootsies need to be covered up. So, I found my new favorite boots and paired them with my favorite skirts—an easy way to update your wardrobe this fall. True to form, these boots are cute, comfortable and perfectly on-trend. Here are two ways to wear them this fall:
Tall Boots + Midi Skirts
Tall boots were all over the runways this season, which I was thrilled about. As someone who is almost always cold (except when I was pregnant), tall boots are key. The most modern way to wear them? With a midi skirt (in a fun print like leopard or snakeskin) and graphic tee. Knotting the tee at the side adds definition to your waist without the bulkiness of tucking in. This is a perfect outfit to take you into fall—add a jacket or scarf when it gets cooler.

Ankle Boots + Mini Skirts
So—news flash!—you can wear socks with ankle boots. I did not know this. Shana suggested it and I looked at her funny, thinking she meant, like, white socks or something. But adding black nylon socks (like these) help to make the boots more comfortable than going sockless and creates a more flattering line. There’s actually a ton of cute socks (like these animal print socks or these adorable bow ones) that I have my eye on to wear under ankle boots all fall. I plan on rocking bare legs for as long as I can. (With the help of some self-tanners, of course.)
