I am currently sitting at my house in Colorado watching the snow fall, and it’s so peaceful and serene, and has me feeling nostalgic for a winter white holiday. I’ve always loved the comfort and joy that the holidays bring, spending time with the people I love most. The holidays are magical, they are full of hope, laughter and above all love.
While I’ll only be dreaming of a white Christmas in Nashville, I know one thing’s for sure it will still feel festive and bright. This will be my third year spending the holidays in Nashville, and I truly feel so grateful that I get to spend it with my family. Family is everything to me, family is my whole heart, my home, my joy.
I am looking forward to the glimmer and festivities of the holiday season, and am excited to wear the perfect sweater that will take me through all my upcoming holiday parties and the winter season.
Let’s get into it. ❄️
Plus-Size Holiday Party Outfits Featuring Anthropologie’s Rhea Cardigan
By now, I’m sure it’s no secret that I am highly selective when it comes to sweaters, and Anthropologie’s Rhea bow-front crop cardigan sweater ticks all the boxes for me. It’s deliciously soft, perfectly cropped, and a little bit (okay maybe more than a little) sexy. It’s everything I look for in a sweater, and looks amazing with denim, paired with faux leather, and even worn over pretty dresses. It will certainly be one that I’ll wear on heavy repeat for holiday parties and throughout the wintery months.
This sweater is made of 38% nylon, 33% merino wool, 26% acrylic, and 3% elastane. Surprisingly enough, even with the merino wool I don’t find it to be itchy at all, in fact it’s incredibly soft and lush. I personally am a big fan of the drop shoulders, slightly oversized fit in the arms, and lined detailing that make this sweater feel special. And the adjustable satin bows give it an added touch of elegance.
What surprised me most is that while this sweater appears to be a fussy one to keep closed, I had no issues with the bows staying in place and my strapless bra even remained hidden. I find that it runs true to size and I am wearing the 2X for my preferred fit: slightly oversized and perfectly cropped.
With A Gorgeous Winter White Satin Skirt

I love a good monochromatic moment, and wearing a winter white monochromatic outfit feels so chic and elevated. I especially love wearing a wintery white outfit paired with silver accessories, it gives me all the classic holiday vibes I always dream of.

If you were to ask my thoughts on the skirt… I’d say it’s a “if I like it, I love it, I’m-A-Buy-It-In-Every-Color” kind of skirt. In fact, I actually own it in two other colors: a citrus summer lime, black, and neutral. Simply put, I absolutely love it. The fit is impeccable, the silky satin feels incredible on my skin, and I love the maxi length of it.

I just love feeling chic and sexy, and this outfit does just that for me 🥰. It makes me feel so pretty and giddy for my next holiday party.
With a Pair of Satin Pants
sweater (2x) | pants (3x) | mules | bag
If you’re a girlie pop who prefers pants over skirts, opt for a pair of wide-leg satin pants. Any color pant will pair well with the cream color of the sweater, but I personally think the black makes the entire outfit feel so polished.
The satin pants were a recent find from Show Me Your Mumu, which is a new (to me) brand that creates gorgeous pieces for occasion wear. Think weddings, bridal showers, and fancy dresses for events. I love an inclusive brand and have to say I am in love with everything I’ve tried from them.
You can take a peek at more of my favs from Show Me Your Mumu here. If you are looking to shop the brand for yourself I have found that everything runs TTS for me: I’m a 2X in their tops and dresses, and 3X in their pants.
Wishing you all a happy holiday season!

Thank you for having women of all shapes and sizes on your blog! I’m hoping to see a middle aged woman (50s) included too and preferably with a post menopausal body type (rounder in the belly & breasts). We need inspiration!
Kat, you look fabulous!
