It is winter, it is cold, it is snowy, and I spend my days rotating between workout gear, ski gear, loungewear and…PJs. While Mike and I will *occasionally* go out – on the rare weekend the kids don’t have competitions/we’re not too tired/I am undeterred by the blowing snow and freezing temps – for the most part, we’re…just…home. In other words:
It’s pajama season, baby!
I am pajama-lover of all kinds: silk PJs, waffle-knit PJs, menswear-inspired PJs, frilly, feminine PJs – I love them all!! But one of my very, very favorite brands of PJs are from Printfresh. Printfresh PJs are designed in Philadelphia – by an incredibly talented friend of mine!! (literally Amy draws these prints by hand) – and they’re made from 100% organic cotton, with ethical sourcing and eco-conscious practices. They also come in an incredibly inclusive size range (XXS – 6XL) as well as petite, regular, and tall sizes, they wash and dry like a dream, and last for-freaking-EVER.
These are really high-quality pajamas. I can’t say enough good things about them!
The Best Printfresh Pajamas For Winter (With Sizing & Fit Notes)
While Printfresh is known for their cotton poplin PJs (the white, embroidered sets are my fav – like this new one omg), in winter, the ones I wear the most are flannel. Printfresh makes two types of flannel PJs: midweight flannel and lightweight flannel. I also love wearing *some* of their eco-satin sets for winter. So as I hunker down for – arguably – the two coziest months of the year…let’s do a little deep dive into some of the PJ sets I’m dying to cozy up in.
1. Printfresh Midweight Flannel Pajamas: ‘Blinis & Martinis’

Ok, so first of all this print is SO GOOD. Second…these PJs are made out of Printfresh’s midweight flannel, which means that these are thick, cozy, and impossibly soft. That said, one thing I do appreciate about Printfresh’s flannel is that it is truly soft. There is nothing stiff or scratchy about Printfresh flannel, and they have amazing drape.
I am wearing a size medium petite in this set. I’m just under 5’4″, around 127 lbs, with really long arms. 🙂 That matters because Printfresh is making a true petite size here, it’s not just cut shorter in the legs.

If you are a true petite (Mom, that’s you!), Printfresh’s petite sizes will fit great. For myself, however, this set is a little too short – I need to switch to regular sizes.
2. Printfresh Lightweight Flannel Pajamas: Fit & Feel
Ok! This set is made from Printfresh’s lightweight flannel, which is really unique. Still 100% organic cotton, it’s lightweight, thin, and drapey.. Yet, it’s just flannel-y enough to be warm and cozy. I think of these as their winter version of cotton poplin!
In the photo above, I’m wearing a size small regular, arguably my true size. In general, Printfresh runs very TTS.
But because these are PJs, I’m finding, as I get older (haha SIGH), that I’m happier with a looser fit. So I’ve happier sizing up to a size medium in Printfresh PJs:
3. Printfresh Lightweight Flannel Pajamas (Petite Sizing)

As a point of comparison, this is another lightweight flannel set, but in a size medium petite. I do feel like the petite sizes in the lightweight flannel do fit a bit smaller overall (not just shorter) than the regular sizes. So a medium petite in the lightweight flannel fits more like a regular small just…shorter. 🙂
4. Printfresh Eco-Friendly Satin Pajamas: Winter Wearability
Printfresh’s eco satin line is SO fun. It’s their version of silk PJs, but in a fabric that doesn’t feel quite so high-maintenance. That said, I don’t typically wear their eco satin in the winter….unless it’s a shortie set, like this one. This cute little set fits like a dream under a cozy robe or big ‘ol cardigan, and is perfect if the fire is roaring and the house is toasty.
The only difference I really notice between the small and medium sizes is that the waistband is much tighter in the size small.

So if you happen to carry weight in your middle, like I do, I recommend sizing up one size.

I am a Printfresh addict. I will let out this little secret that their service is so good, they have actually broken up a set for me (medium bottoms, small top) and I wonder if you could do similar with petite bottoms and regular top!
