Time to share our top sellers this month! It’s always interesting to see what our readers are loving. You guys never fail to pick out some GOOD stuff that somehow becomes a capsule of sorts.

A lot of these picks were from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (still in stock), but there are some other good finds too. Like Shana’s new concealer obsession that I absolutely need to try, or this punny hat from MOTHER Denim.

What Readers Loved Most In August: Wide-Leg Pants, Fall Style & Everyday Essentials

This month’s picks are giving me some serious inspo for my fall wardrobe. I’m way, waaay too excited. Probably annoyingly so. From the perfect blue jeans to cropped blazers and chunky printed cardigans. Ahhh. Let’s get into it, guys.

This month's bestsellers are giving me serious fall outfit inspo. Think: the best jeans, a cropped blazer & a cozy cardigan from Free People, AllSaints & more. #AddToCart

1. MOTHER Trucker Hat

Quirky hats are always fun(ny). This MOTHER trucker hat (in white) is my latest find.

Where to buy: Bloomingdale’s | Nordstrom

I mean…it speaks for itself. But I will say, I’ve been loving hats to switch my look up a bit. Sometimes adding in an accessory can take an outfit to a whole new level.

Abby’s Note: Quirky hats are always fun(ny). This MOTHER trucker hat (in white) is my latest find.

2. AllSaints Crossbody Bag

Where to buy: Nordstrom

This white crossbody from AllSaints is simple and chic. And practical.

3. Zella Reverse-Seam Top

Where to buy: Nordstrom

Boy, do I want this Zella top. I had my eyes on it throughout the whole NSale. I love shirts that almost look like they’re intentionally inside out.

Shana’s Note: I’m also picking up another one of these Zella workout tops because they’re awesome (the reviews crack me up).

4. Hanky Panky Lace Boyshorts

Where to buy: Nordstrom

Hanky Panky lace boyshorts, because we all need an undergarment refresh sometimes.

Shana’s Note: This is the underwear I like to wear under short skirts/dresses (ooo…there’s a matching bralette in the Bold Blooms print).

5. Bardot Cutout Wide-Leg Jumpsuit

Subtly sexy. I love the idea of wearing this chic wide-leg jumpsuit to an event instead of a dress.

Where to buy: Nordstrom

Subtly sexy. I love the idea of wearing this chic jumpsuit to an event instead of a dress.

Julieta’s Note: Damn. I wish I’d seen this before my trip. Subtle boldness!

6. BP. Double-Pocket Cargo Pants

Where to buy: Nordstrom

Not your average cargo pants…these BP cargos have a slight shine to them and are a bit fancier. Cargo trousers, maybe?

Julieta’s Note: These pants are beautiful & comfortable, and you can dress them down or up easily. You can choose from this brown I love or a green dune (grayish green) — both are great neutrals.

7. Free People Cropped Blazer

Cropped blazers have been having a moment, & I think I'm in love with this Free People blazer.

Where to buy: Nordstrom

Cropped blazers have been having a moment, and I think I’m in love with this Free People blazer. I was always an oversized-blazer kind of girl, but now that I’m in my baggier-pants era, I think a blazer like this would be super-flattering to pair with them.

8. Veronica Beard Wide-Leg Jeans

Where to buy: Nordstrom

These wide-leg jeans from Veronica Beard almost look like denim trousers, like the type of jeans you’d wear to an office. They feel fresh for fall this year too.

Shana’s Note: I know said that Nordstrom doesn’t do NSale restocks anymore…but then these Veronica Beard jeans popped back up, fully in stock! They sold out so fast during the first few days of the sale that I kept my noise-making to a minimum. But, gang, these jeans are SO FUN. That waist detail is flirty and cool, and they do such good things to a T-shirt. Love ’em.

9. AG High-Waisted Bootcut Jeans

Where to buy: Nordstrom

These AG bootcut jeans might just be the leg-lengthening magic I’ve been looking for (I’m about 5’2″ with my legs being the shorter part).

Note: I love the darker wash and slimmer leg on these AG jeans. They have a 32-inch inseam (the raw hem makes them easier to adjust to the perfect length) and slight stretch for comfort. They’re a bootcut style, so the leg opening is slighter narrower than your typical flare jeans.

10. Vince Pleated V-Neck Drawstring Dress

Where to buy: Nordstrom

I’ve always loved the look of pleated dresses — adding some texture makes it that much more interesting to look at. Plus, this Vince dress in that burgundy color? A stunner.

Shana’s Note: Turns out this dress is freaking great. Despite the conservative, office-appropriate proportions, the skirt is wildly feminine and a little flirty. And the whole dress is really fun to wear. Knowing that pleats don’t photograph nearly as well, I threw together a little reel of all of these outfits, so you can see how they look IRL.

11. Citizens Of Humanity Wide-Leg Jeans

These wide-leg Citizens Of Humanity jeans are the perfect slouchy jeans.

Where to buy: Nordstrom | Bloomingdale’s

These Citizens Of Humanity jeans are the perfect slouchy jeans. I like the way they’re styled with a chunky belt, heels and a half-tucked button-up top.

12. Gap High-Rise Runaround Pants

Where to buy: Gap

Because we all need a pair of runaround pants…but this olive green color is gorgeous for fall.

Laura’s Note: I own these Gap pants in three colors, if that tells you anything. They fit well — not too baggy and not too tight. They’re lightweight, pack easily, and look sporty but not like workout wear. I adore them for spring, summer and fall.

13. MOTHER Ride Out Muscle Tee

Where to buy: Bloomingdale’s | MOTHER Denim

If you like graphic tees/tanks — but not ones that scream GRAPHIC — this MOTHER muscle tee is for you. Kind of gives a vintage vibe.

14. Free People Plaid Jacquard Cardigan

Where to buy: Nordstrom

Besides the gorgeous print, this Free People cardigan is like the perfect amount of slouch with those awesome balloon sleeves.

Note: I love the funky plaid pattern and wildly soft material. It looks awesome over that brown leather miniskirt — and kind of gives me a bit of a “Clueless” vibe, tbh.

15. Sweaty Betty Half-Zip Crop Sweatshirt

This Sweaty Betty crop sweatshirt sits right above my hips & allows my midriff to peak out.

Where to buy: Nordstrom

Cannot decide which color combo is better. Normally, my neutral-loving self would go for the white, but something about this purpley-gray with the orange seams…yes.

Kat’s Note: By now I’m sure you all know that I live in crop tops of all kinds, and this Sweaty Betty sweatshirt in particular is my preferred length. It sits right above my hips and allows my midriff to peak out. I love both colors for very different reasons, and am having a hard time deciding which color to keep.

16. Favorite Daughter Stripe Cotton Shirt

Button-ups are becoming a foolproof way to cover up the shoulders a bit and add some interest to an outfit.

Where to buy: Nordstrom | Saks

This green color is still hangin’ on into fall. I love. Button-ups are becoming a foolproof way to cover up the shoulders a bit and add some interest to an outfit rather than just being good for fancy or corporate situations.

Shana’s Note: Office or not, I’m picking up Favorite Daughter’s striped button-up shirt. I’ve seriously been staring at this thing for months, and I think…I think it’s the curved seam cutting across the middle — along with the perfect collar & punchy color — that makes it really, really special.

17. Tory Burch Zip Tote

This Tory Burch tote bag comes in some neutral colors, but this pop of blue is so fun.

Where to buy: Saks | Nordstrom

This Tory Burch tote bag comes in some neutral colors, but this pop of blue is so fun. I feel like this is my “fall blue.”

18. Mighty Patch Nose Strip

We're all deserving of a little self-care, even if it's in the form of a Mighty Patch nose strip. Just pop it on & go about your daily tasks.

Where to buy: Amazon

We’re all deserving of a little self-care, even if it’s in the form of a Mighty Patch nose strip. Just pop it on and go about your daily tasks.

Amy’s Note: Currently tucked in bed sick and using this downtime for random self-care, like using this product that blows my mind every single time I use it.

19. Fièra Concealer

I’ve tried many different foundations (powder, cream, oils, whatever), but this Fiera concealer is the first that blew me away.

Where to buy: Amazon

I have very sensitive skin with a whole lotta problems, so it’s really difficult finding makeup and skincare that works for me. Shana’s tempting me to hop on this Fièra concealer bandwagon. I might have to report back for all my fellow sensitive skin friends.

Shana’s Note: After being influenced by an IG ad (is IG the new HSN?), I bought a tube of Fièra’s concealer, and OMFG, this is a whoooole different animal. I’ve tried so many different foundations (powder, cream, oils, whatever), but this is the first one that blew me away. The idea is that you use just a teeny tiny bit and only where you need it (I put it under my eyes, down around my nose, and the tiniest bit on my chin & forehead), and the result was soooo natural and pretty. And it never creased or caked or did anything but make me pretty after hours of use. I’m sold. (I did get the concealer brush too.)

20. Coach Crossbody Bag

This Coach crossbody bag is the perfect combo of vintage & modern.

Where to buy: Nordstrom

One of my biggest regrets was not picking up this Coach bag during the Nsale. Amy says it perfectly: It really is the perfect combo of vintage and modern.

Amy’s Note: The Coach purse I’ve become undeniably obsessed with. I thought it might be my “special occasions” handbag, but it has instead turned into my everyday carry. It is the perfect size, has two straps (detachable!), and is the best combo of vintage throwback x modern trends.
