Many of us are looking for easy right now, yes? I’m always looking for easy when it comes to my closet. Easy, comfortable combinations that can be put together without much thought or planning. For fall, there’s always a cute statement cardigan or interesting sweater-jacket involved and now… a face mask, too.
**SALE ALERT: 25% Off Almost Everything In This Post This Weekend**
The cardigan has to be something that can be quickly thrown on to complement even the most basic pieces in my closet. I find Anthropologie usually has the best selection of statement cardigans AND they have a huge selection of gorgeous face masks right now, so it seemed like a perfect time to do some mirror selfies of both.
The Cardigans & Sweater-Jackets
1. Zebra Jacquard Sweater Jacket
PROS: This might be my favorite of the bunch: comfortable weight, stretchy movement, structured look without a structured feel, playful print, easy-to-wear shades of brown, good pockets; I like the longer length.
CONS: I may get tired of the print. The sleeves are fine for me, but I’m 5’2…if you have long arms the sleeves may be too short.

2. Orange Longline Cardigan
PROS: I LOVE adding in a pop of orange! This one’s comfortable, stretchy movement, structured look without a structured feel, good pockets; I like the longer length. Comes in an easy-to-wear honey brown color as well.
CONS: This much orange can be difficult to wear at times…especially with all black (do I look like a pumpkin?). It runs a bit big…I think I could have sized down, but it’s nice to have the extra room for thicker sweaters underneath.

3. Taupe Fringed Cardigan
PROS: So fun! Cool statement cardigan style available in three neutral, easy-to-wear colors; I LOVE the fringe. LOVE! So super-cozy, really soft and good pockets.
CONS: Ridiculously big on me, I know. There’s no way I can keep it because I do know it looks absurd on me, but it’s SO fun!!! And so cozy! The ivory color comes in petite, so maybe I try that one? Or…maybe it’s just for you tall gals.

4. Patchwork Cardigan
PROS: I love the patchwork design. It’s pretty and an easy-to-wear color combo.
CONS: This is a little itchy for me. I wish the length was longer or shorter. No pockets. A little meh maybe?

5. Nutmeg Eyelash Cardigan
PROS: Super-soft and cozy. It’s like wearing a cozy blanket outside in the world without anyone saying, “take off that blanket!”. This cardigan is a really pretty shade of brown, the pockets are good and I love the playful pattern.
CONS: I’m not the biggest fan of this type of material for outer layers….feels a little too delicate for me. I would maybe get tired of the print.

6. Crimson Fringed Cardigan
PROS: I LOVE the fringe…a nice detail to freshen up a regular cardi. The square stitching is cool as well. A really pretty color in person….It would be a perfect indoor cardigan to throw on for Zoom calls.
CONS: No pockets. This cardi’s not heavy enough to wear as a cool-weather top layer. I wish it was either longer or shorter…petite might have been better for me. It’s a tad bit itchy if you have sensitive skin.

7. Plaid Jacket
PROS: Hmmmm….I guess some people would like/look good in this style?
CONS: Much more of a coat than I thought it would be (I know…I know…it says “coat”, but I had in my head it would be stretchier and more lightweight. I don’t love the color combo on me…it’s a little blah. I don’t like button placement on chest, and it’s too oversized (I’m wearing size small).

The Face Masks
Hopefully you’ve already found face coverings you love wearing, but just in case you’re still searching… I review a bunch of masks here. I’m also working on my second face mask review post that will include some of Anthro’s masks, but until then… here’s a sneak peak of some of my favs.

I don’t know guys…did I find any keepers this round? I haven’t taken the tags off of any of the sweaters/jackets yet, but I keep reaching for the Zebra print sweater jacket, the orange sweater-jacket, and of course….the ridiculously big and ridiculously looking oversized fringe cardigan. Or thinking about trying this cute black and white one or this guy. Thoughts?
