As the winter season starts to wrap up, I know our Outdoorsy People (hi, Shana) love to stock up on gear for next year at a discount.
Outdoor Gear & Cozy Pieces: Our Favs On Sale At Backcountry
Backcountry always has a TON of stuff (and much of it ends up on sale), you just need to know how to dig through it. Our team has taken the time to peruse the entire sale section, pulling all of their favorites for skiing, camping, hiking, (and even lounging!) below.
Though I’m not so outdoorsy myself, I do love these Smartwool socks because….#alwayscold and they’ve become one of my favorite recs from S, ever. I think I’m also going to try her beloved puffer slippers while they’re on sale.
Here’s to stocking up for next winter and finding some gems for this summer, too. Lots of Backcountry sale finds below!

Ooh, fun to see my favorite sandals on sale! I’ve had a pair of Avarcas Pons in some color or another for years. I’m currently loving the tan, but they have quite a few cute neutral shades. Some are 20% off and some you can save 15% on by using our code THEMOMEDIT! (exclusions apply) They’re a pair I keep grabbing for every year and go great with shorts, dresses and jeans. Size down if between sizes. They’ll stretch & mold to your feet beautifully. Other top pick? This cute sweatshirt.

I’ve got summer dresses on the mind, and there are some really amazing ones to swoop up at Backcountry right now! This sleeveless summer dress is on sale in the color black, which would be that perfect wardrobe staple to grab on every warm day, plus there are a few more I rounded up below. Also, Burton is such a good brand (I’ve had a sweatshirt of theirs for, like, eight years that has been the greatest), and this track jacket would be ideal for spring! Xx

I’m simultaneously picking up all of the gear we need for next year’s ski season…and looking ahead to this summer. Shoot! I forgot to include Hestra mittens and gloves in the shopping widget below. They’re also on sale, and are easily the best we’ve ever worn. Totally worth it if you’re outside a huge part of the winter.
ALSO: These heated ski boots (now 20% off) have completely changed my ski game. Not only are they the ONLY thing that has actually kept my toes from freezing, but boot technology must have changed in the last seven years because they also have forced me into a better ski position, and I’m skiing better than I ever have.

I love a good Backcountry sale! Let’s start, though, with a reminder that you can get 15% off many full-priced items with code THEMOMEDIT. If you’re looking for hiking boots, check out my post on the Danner hiking boots I love (and the others boots I tried).
For the ACTUAL sale at Backcountry, though, I’m all about The North Face and Smartwool! I’m not typically a “vest wearer”, but this one in khaki/vintage white (under $70!) definitely makes me think I need to become one. Love the style for actual outdoor activities, as well as outdoor “just looking cute.” Would look great dressed up a bit with all black, casual with denim, fun with color, and easy with other neutrals…so versatile!

I actually couldn’t resist this sale myself! Zack and I are always finding ourselves out somewhere (beach, friend’s house, campfire, etc.,) without chairs to sit in, so I took advantage of 40% off this chair (with a cupholder and insulated compartment to keep cans cold) and this chair that’s light enough and small enough to just live in our car for whenever we need it. I’m obviously really looking forward to summer! Oh and this table? SO good. It rolls up to fit into a small bag for storage and is easy to transport anywhere you need…so you never have to put drinks and food (or phones!) on the sand or dirt again. Here’s the rest of my picks!

You all know I am a glamping gal through and through, and I have been a big fan of Backcountry for a long time now! I wear my Marmot jacket pretty frequently for hiking trips, and it’s on sale right now and available in some seriously cute colors for spring. I have a ton of outdoor adventures planned this year, and my CO native friends are trying to convince me to camp with them and if I decided to go I will need to buy a sleeping bag. I have tested out several one-person sleeping bags, but I am feeling included to go the double route for more space (especially since I will only be camping in warm weather). I’m not sure if I’ll actually be down to sleep outside, but never say never. Oh, one last thing — my favorite Free People brami is on sale right now, too! I wear the size M/L for reference.
Happy Sale Shopping!

This post took me back to my Seattle days…and made me want to purchase ALL THE THINGS. Alas, I live in San Diego now 🙁 I may buy some Smartwool socks because I am ALWAYS cold.
