I really get into The Crown. It’s one of those series that, every time a new season comes out, I watch and watch and watch until I’ve ingested the entire thing, as quickly as possible. I then feel legitimately sad when the ‘watch next episode’ thingy doesn’t pop up. Sad. Incredibly depressing. But drowning my sorrows in some fancy, proper tea helps.
This season felt even more difficult to part with. Let’s be honest. It all came down to Princess Diana. Season 4 of ‘The Crown’ was her big debut and goodness. She obviously still has the power to draw a crowd — I’d honestly like to see the jump in viewership that occurred once she was incorporated into the storyline. I think they did a brilliant job with how they portrayed her. It gave us a more intimate look at who she was and some of her darker moments, regardless of whether these details were fabricated or not! She was the overwhelming draw of this season for me.
I won’t spoil the season for you but the whole thing — especially the last episode — gold.
Royal-Inspired Gifts For The Crown Superfan
Anyway, while we all pine for Season 5, let’s take a gander at these splendiferous, Royal-inspired gifts. I found so many fun things — all of which I now want to buy…drat! (You think the Queen says that?) For instance, look upon the Princess Di T-shirt or this Royal Family Coffee Mug! They are too good.
Oh, my. These figurines were really hard to find! Sold-out everywhere. They also have ones of Queen Elizabeth here, if you do so prefer her in the form of a bobble-like figure.
Have and love. It’s hanging on our tree right this very minute. There’s something so whimsical and delightful about British-inspired tree baubles.
A great gift for any whiskey drinkers you may know. They can ‘cheers’ with an edge of regality. It’s perfect, really.
4. Jeweled Crown
Yes, I do believe we all need bejeweled crowns. Can we please make this happen? I would like to jump right on that Royal Train (but not be alone in it, because that might make me look a tad batty). Really, though! Even if you just wear it around the palace…I mean, house…once a day, can you imagine the feeling it would bring? I’d demand that my husband and kids bow to me, to add a bit more to the whole experience.
This necklace is just sweet. It’s an easy, pretty little gift for that special young lady in your life.
Ever since watching Season 5, I’ve been on a Diana kick — reading, watching YouTube videos of her interviews, studying her style…all of it! This book is lovely and would make a great gift for anyone you know that loves her. If you prefer a book that will give you more insight into her, consider reading Diana: Her True Story — In Her Words. I watched the Diana doc on Netflix and it included many of her interviews (used as the major source for the book) with Andrew Morton. Very interesting.
I mean, this goes without saying, my dear. Everyone simply must have a royal tea set. What else would one drink their tea from? A normal ceramic mug? No, no, no! We cannot allow this. That superfan in your life needs a legit porcelain tea set.
Hours worth of Royals to color. This could easily be the best gift you’ve ever given. Spit spot! Come now. Get on it!
This book is a nice little “intro to The Royals”, with fun little pictures, a bit of history, style, etc., It’s nothing serious, but that’s precisely why it would be a winning gift.
Again, my darlings. A necessary in any “Royal” home. Must we even speak more on this point? No, no I think not. BTW, this one is citrus, vanilla & lavender…and it sounds sooooo yummmmmyyy. eee! Oh, my. My apologies. [smooths skirt & coifs hair] I was taken over by excitement for a moment. Won’t happen again.
Obsessed. Obsessed! This mug, while it’s only a lowly coffee mug (and not a porcelain tea cup), is truly fantastic. I would allow myself to be a bit “common” and drink from this just because of how charming it is. Of course, only when no one is watching, in order to maintain my Royal-ness.
Another lovely mug I’d be willing to drinketh from. This particular one has the profile of Queen Elizabeth on it. She was quite striking, actually!
This may be one of my favorite things from this entire gift guide. Queen Elizabeth, but make it Warhol. P.s. These prints come in a variety of colors.
I foresee a surge of Diana-inspired fashion. I mean, we’ve already met the bike short, but I think now there will be specific “Diana outfits” walking down the street here-and-there. I am here for it! I have added this iconic sweatshirt to my list of things to purchase (it’s a copy, not the actual one she wore…just to clarify — ha).
Darling. Just darling. This is a throw pillow for a true fan of The Crown. You really have to love something to get it printed on a pillow and highlight it on your couch. I mean, I’d 100% do it. I am kinda wanting the Princess Di one, though…
I suppose that if one must wear a t-…what are they called? Ah, yes…TEE-shirt…this would be a good option. (Really, though. 5,000x YES.)
I’ve heard that this is THE British candle to have. They are a more fancy line, but the scent sounds truly amazing. I will one day light one and feel very British…and Royal. Very Royal. Of course!
Apparently, these are called “tuck boxes”. They were originally created in the 1730s for well-heeled customers journeying to their country estates….and since I am very much so a “well-heeled journeying estate owner”, I shall have to look into these superb-looking hampers myself.
I have seen this book being shared on Instagram — I follow the author! It looks to be a delightful look at Royal style, which is always of much interest to many (including me). This may be another I will need to acquire.
I really cannot get over how much I like this concept of having yourself made into a Royal masterpiece. It’s delightful and hilarious! They have many different options, as far as style and backdrop, by the by.
My Fellow Commoners, it has been a pleasure to provide you with this Royal Gift Guide. I hope that you will see how well I have served you in doing so. I shall now take my leave…
