Chilling at home day after day calls for one thing and one thing only: loungewear. And since we’re smack in the middle of Festive Season, why not liven it up? I’ve rounded up 5 “fancy” (we’re using this word lightly, okay?) loungewear looks to take you from the couch, to the kitchen, and mayyyybe even outside in holiday style.
5 Fancy Loungewear Looks For The Holidays
1. Velvet Sweatsuits Are Back
This hoodie & pants set by SKIMS looks insanely flattering & kiiinda glamorous. The metallic, velour sheen screams ‘holiday’ to me, even though it’s literally a sweatsuit. Who knew holiday-esque sweatsuits existed? It comes in four really pretty neutral-ish, jewel-tone colors & in plus sizes. I had to add a SKIMS matching underwear set in here, too. I know it’s just underwear, but that gorgeous “cypress” green color is calling my name (not to mention the good-looking silhouettes).
2. Sets, Please.
Ahhh, this knit Free People set is all I want. I love the knit design of the top and that you can tie it at your waist for a little bit of a fancier feel. Looks so cute with the matching wide-leg pants, but both can also be mixed & matched in other outfits. Sets are just genius. Also loving these cute & festive barrettes — or any hair accessory by Tasha — to spice it up a lil.
3. You Know The Drill
Wearing all black for the holidays is such a classic & easy way to go. It looks insanely chic and pretty badass — especially when leather leggings are involved. I’m loving these Steve Madden Chelsea boots with the gorgeous high shaft to amp-up that super-sleek & tight look. Black outfits sans-leather leggings (like, even sub in black sweatpants) could be easily dressed up with some cute mixed-metal accessories and a red lip.
4. Minty Fresh
I’m seriously loving this minty green/blue color right now. These STAUD wide-leg sweatpants have a matching hoodie, if you’re all-in on sets right now — but I think they look SO cute paired with some light nude colors and neutral prints, like this printed Topshop pullover. Top the outfit off with some dainty jewelry and you’re all set.
5. F Yeah.
Two words: Fleece. Set. I’m obsessed. Have you ever seen a fleece crop top? Me neither, but I’m convinced that I now need this bad boy. I love that this set comes in black because it kind of downplays the insanely cozy feel for a more put-together (and less loungewear… shhhh..) look. Comes in a light teddy-brown, too.
Take the pressure of fancy (and usually tight & uncomfy) holiday outfits out of the equation this year and rethink your merry ‘fits. Cozy and relaxed could look way more festive & stylish than you think.
