Our Top 20 Pieces Last Month

Well, guys…April’s officially come and gone. Maybe just a little too quickly for me? (But I’m sure you summer-lovers out there are radiating all the joy). Personally, I tend to get into a serious fashion rut once May rolls around. Not having all of my fall jackets and boots?! Blasphemy!

But one thing I know? I can count on our readers and the TME team to give some inspo for these weird transitional months with pieces that are far-from-boring. Shoutout to you all (seriously).

April’s Top Sellers In Fashion & Beauty: Pretty Dresses, Denim Staples, Summer Sandals + A Few Random Finds

I took a look at what our readers had their eyes on and purchased this past April from some of our articles and social posts. Our top 20 products, to be exact.

There’s a good mix of warm- and cold-weather pieces, and a few random finds for a good night’s sleep (hello, weighted sleep mask and silk pillowcase) from some of our favorite retailers like Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue and Shopbop. This Stine Goya Sweater S has been loving? Might just be the colorful piece I actually buy. Needless to say, I’m inspired (and realizing I could be sleeping much better).

1. Nod Pod Sleep Mask

When I first saw this Nod Pod sleep mask...I gasped. Blackout curtains aren't enough!,The added weight (just like a weighted blanket) can help you relax and ease anxiety.

Now, this is modern innovation. (And our top seller for the month). When I first saw this sleep mask was a thing…I gasped. Blackout curtains aren’t enough! Plus, the added weight (just like a weighted blanket) can help you relax and ease anxiety. Don’t mind if I do.

2. Frame Sailor Jean Shorts

How cute are these Frame sailer jean shorts?! There's something about the way they flare out a bit that just looks good.

Nordstrom | Saks Fifth Avenue | Bloomingdales

How cute are these shorts?! Besides the pretty buttons going up the front, there’s something about the shape (maybe the way they flare out a bit) that just looks good. Check out that back zipper detail, too.

3. BØRN Carla Sandal

A classic brown sandal is always a good idea for warm weather. They just go with everything. The foam-cushioned footbed is perfect for sightseeing vacations.

A classic brown sandal is always a good idea for the warm weather. They just go with everything. (This pair also comes in a pretty slate-blue shade that I’m eyeing). But what really sold me? The foam-cushioned footbed. Perfect for sightseeing vacations.

4. Vince Camuto Jenabie Sandal

I've been LOVING these knotted sandals, slides, mules, etc recently. Somethin' about them is just so dang chic.

Nordstrom | Macy’s | Vince Camuto

I’ve been LOVING these knotted sandals, slides, mules, etc recently. Somethin’ about them is just so dang chic. It seems like most people were into the creamy white color, but the sandstone and black are gorgeous, too.

5. Slip Pure Silk Pillowcase

Nordstrom | Sephora

I never thought I’d be the type of person to want a silk pillowcase. I truly thought it was just an aesthetic. Then I read up on the benefits of it and let me tell you…this girl needs it. It’s “anti-bedhead, anti-sleep-crease” for the “ultimate beauty sleep.” Yes and yes. You can tell by the knots in my hair every single morning that this is getting added-to-cart ASAP.

6. Anthropologie The Somerset Maxi Dress

Anthropologie

Anthropologie never fails when it comes to gorgeous dresses. This one is made with cotton, so it should be perfect for spring/summer weather (and it’s available in petite and plus-sizing,too). Seems like everyone gravitated towards this “pink” pattern above, but it comes in a bunch of other pretty patterns. Naturally, I’m eyeing up that black and white print.

7. Sweaty Betty Nestle Up Half Zip Sweatshirt

Nordstrom

You can never go wrong with a half-zip for day-to-day dressing, workouts and everything in-between. This one from Sweaty Betty is made with 91% organic cotton and comes in three other colors, but the pearl blue has the popular vote. (It has my vote, too).

8. English Factory Elastic Detail Sleeveless Dress

Shopbop

I think I might be in love with this dress. The open back, the slight peek of skin showing in the front, the high-neck, the criss-cross straps across the back…I mean, c’mon. This one’s good, guys. Side note: shoutout to Shopbop for styling this pretty dress with vans. 10/10.

9. DL1961 Hepburn High-Rise Wide-Leg Jeans

Saks Fifth Avenue | Bloomingdale’s

Give me alll the raw-hem jeans! If you’re on the shorter side, raw-hems make it easier to hack off the bottom (if need be). That aside, it also just adds some interest to plain jeans. Check out how Amy recently styled them!

10. Free People Movement Breathe Deeper Crop

Nordstrom | Bloomingdale’s | Free People | Zappos

What’s a better motivation to workout than cute workout clothes? Absolutely nothing! The azalea color (pictured above) is almost sold out, but it comes in other colors, too. Check out Free People for all the fun shades and neutral options.

11. Noble Panacea The Absolute Intense Renewal Serum Set

Nordstrom

You may have seen Scotti feature this in our random finds newsletter, mentioning the pretty penny this set costs. So what does it promise? A perpetually vitalized, luminous, youthful complexion. If you’re unsure about it, maybe start with the individual (and less expensive) packs.

12. Open Edit Sleeveless Reversible Maxi Dress

Nordstrom

At first glance I was confused about this dress, then (very) quickly realized it’s reversible! You can wear the low v or flip it around to the higher-neck side, which totally changes up the look. All the options for my fellow Capsule Wardrobe People! Definitely give the other colors a look, too. That green agave is callin’ my name.

13. Rag & Bone Slade Wool Blazer

Rag & Bone | Saks Fifth Avenue

This classic blazer is a little business chic, but with the cool collar reads casual enough for day to day. Dress up some jeans and a tee or be a little fancy with trousers and a pretty top. Options are endless with this piece. See how Laura styled this blazer up for a daytime look.

14. Z Supply Valena Slub Tank

Shopbop | Z Supply

A summer staple: pretty white blouses. I love the high-neck and slight bubble-hem. It’ll sit at the perfect spot for high-waisted bottoms.

15. Stine Goya Stripe Balloon Sleeve Sweater

Nordstrom | Saks Fifth Avenue

The second I saw Shana wearing this sweater, I decided to take the idea of adding color to my wardrobe more seriously. It goes without saying…I’m obsessed. And the sleeves! I love a little slouch. Adds to the comfort and gives a less polished, but still put-together look.

16. CUPSHE One-Piece Swimsuit

Amazon

It was no surprise to me that a CUPSHE suit ended up in our top sellers. Their suits are inexpensive, but good. The neckline on this suit in particular is super flattering with the criss-cross detail and mesh cutouts. Reviewers say it runs a little small, so maybe size up!

17. MOTHER The Patch Pocket Cardigan

Saks Fifth Avenue

I loved this cardigan when I first saw it on Linzi. (May I add that it looks much cuter on than in the product images?) It’s a completely unexpected cardigan with the details on the back. From the front it looks cute and simple, but the back has allll the interest. MOTHER strikes again!

18. La Ligne Sweater

La Ligne

You know we love our La Ligne sweaters here at TME. These 100% cotton sweaters are great as toppers over a top (or swimsuit) and jean shorts for the cold summer nights. (And of course, they transition nicely into the colder months). You can shop more La Ligne options at Nordstrom or get this one on La Ligne’s site.

19. Vero Moda Kamryn Check Square Neck Minidress

Nordstrom

How cute! This dress makes me want to make perfectly portioned sandwiches with the crust cut off for a picnic by the water. Is anyone envisioning with me? But really, this would be a great daytime dress and can even work for a special summertime occasion.

20. Levi’s Ribcage Straight Ankle Jeans

Shopbop

We’re pretty particular when it comes to which Levi styles we like. The ribcage styles are some of the team’s faves. And this slightly-vintage light wash is everything.

  1. I’d love to see that reversible maxi dress on a real person. Knowing how forgiving the material is makes a big difference on whether it looks like a person is in their second trimester or two kids in…
