I’ve said it once, but I’ll say it again: When you live in a very small town — we’re talking “a full roadtrip away from any large metropolitan area” kind of small — Amazon REALLY shines.
My purchases as of late have been a lot of summer skincare and hair products, with a few accessories and random gadgets thrown in. Shockingly, even my new favorite bra was an Amazon find.
But what all of my purchases have in common is that each one has been wildly helpful and useful in my everyday life. So, I couldn’t help but want to share the love.
10 Helpful + Useful Amazon Finds, Ft. Skincare, A Strapless Bra + More
In all of my happiness and excitement of making this roundup, I actually forgot about one of my most favorite Amazon scores this summer: these wine glasses that are now, hands down, the most chic item in my kitchen (here’s a quick video I made with them, if you want to see the wine glasses outside of Amazon). The glassware was on my wish list for almost a year, and I finally scooped them up… and I couldn’t be more in love!
So, what else am I loving? Whether it’s a product I saw on TikTok that I really wanted to try out, a resupply of a heavily used kitchen item, or an amazing one-step morning face product (I now highly recommend), my purchases as of late have been incredibly smart, if I do say so myself.
And, honestly, each item just makes me really happy.
This Warners Underwire Lightly Lined Bra has kind of, sort of, totally revamped my bra game, and I’ve been wearing it nonstop, only switching it out for sports bras (or, at times, a lace bralette). The bra stays put all day without having to adjust it, and it actually makes my post-nursing boobs look full and perky, hallelujah.
Summer has seen about one hairstyle from me — a slicked-back low bun. It’s what TikTok likes to refer to as “the clean-girl aesthetic,” but really, I’m too lazy to do anything else. TIGI Bed Head Hair Wax is essentially just like a glue stick for your hair: You can use it lightly to tame flyaways, or press it on in sweeping motions for the most amazing (and easiest) slicked-back bun. It’s SO good.
I always get tired of my normal foundation and makeup routine when the weather is hot, and when I kept reading about skin gurus and dermatologists raving about this product, I had to try it. EltaMD tinted moisturizer with SPF is like a face moisturizer, sunscreen and serum all in one (it’s packed with good things like hyaluronic acid). My face glows in the best of ways when I apply this. Also works great under other makeup!
I’ve been using reusable straws (and, thus, straw-cleaning brushes) for quite some time now, but now that I have a toddler the usage only seems to have multiplied. This pack has multiple lengths, as well as widths of the actual brush, which are beyond practical and have come in very good use!!
TikTok has recently informed me that most of my favorite dry shampoos are filled with toxins that not only should be avoided in general but also can wreak damage on your scalp. And upon a deeper search, it was totally true. Amika is a brand many have raved about because it’s made without ingredients like talc or aluminum yet still actually performs well. I’ve only used it a few times, but so far, I love it.
Thick-hair humans, listen up: OUAI’s shampoo and conditioner formulated for thick hair is unbelievable. The conditioner alone is worth its weight in gold. I had been using OUAI’s thick-hair treatment masque for awhile, but when I decided to try this set I realized I was seriously missing out (here’s the full set of all three). Don’t worry, OUAI carries these products for thin and medium hair too, so we all win.

I grabbed these funky sunglasses on a whim, mostly because I’ve hated all pairs of sunglasses this summer and felt like I had nothing left to lose. Turns out, they were just what I needed. I feel like wearing them gives me a totally different personality (in a really fun way). If you love the shape but not the color, there are a lot more colors to choose from (and they’re under $20).
I knew I wanted a fabric shaver for my sweaters before this winter, but upon closer look at my couch, I desperately needed one for my cushions. I grabbed this one by Magictec on sale, and the magic it worked on my couch cushions was jaw dropping. I only regret not taking before and after pictures. The device comes charged to use right out of the box, and everything has been easy to clean, reassemble, etc.
One of the only pieces of jewelry I wear everyday, I got this choker necklace with my son’s name on it right after he was born. It has held up amazingly over the past (almost) two years — even through sweaty workouts and showers I was too lazy to remove it for. The necklace makes for a really amazing gift too. (I just purchased for a friend who recently had a baby and she loved it).
“Gilmore Girls” fans, this one’s for you. Actor Scott Patterson — who played Luke Danes in the show — was genius enough to keep the spirit of his beloved character alive when he created his own coffee line. I posted about it last Christmas on a gift guide, but it has literally been sold out and/or really hard to come by since then. I finally just got my hands on a bag, and let’s just say…it’ll put some hair on your chest. The coffee is bold and for serious coffee drinkers (or serious creamer lovers). Naturally, it’s perfect for Lorelai Gilmore.
What’s an item you recently found on Amazon that you can’t get enough of? I want to know!
Let’s be friends on Instagram! Sharing life from my sleepy little beach town, daily style, makeup favorites, Gilmore Girl binge-athons and endless cups of coffee — all with a good dose of adorable toddler content too.
