A huge thank you to Merrell & ShopStyle for sponsoring this post.
I’m a fall girl. Summer is fine and all, but give me fall all year long. Haha. In our rainy corner of the world, it is crucial we get outside as the days get darker and chillier, especially right now.
I think our beloved Portland learned that long ago, because we have some of the most well-integrated park space in the US. And we’re talking some epically beautiful parks, friends. No matter what part of town you live in, you can easily get to one of these gorgeous parks for some fresh air, to get the blood flowing, and to take just a minute of self-care in a beautiful space.
Merrell Coats & Boots Are Made For Getting Outside
The climate here truly calls for quality outerwear, and I was excited to try out some pieces from Merrell that totally fit the bill of cute and well-made. I think we all know they have really high-quality shoes and boots, but did you also know they have seriously great coats and outerwear? YES. More below. But also, they’ve extended a great discount to our readers…25% off full-price styles through 12/25 with code MOMEDIT25. Sweet!
There are so many comfortable hiking shoes and boots on Merrell’s site for women, men and the kiddos, but first let’s chat about this coat. (Ooh, and I got so excited about the cute coat and boot combos that I did a few more for you towards the end of the post!)
Obsessed: This Cotton, Water-Resistant Parka
I’m in love with this parka. The color is so rad and fun to mix with bright pieces. The fabric is cotton but with a water-resistant finish, yet it’s not loud and swishy, either (you know what I’m talking about). It’s warm and not too bulky, AND it has a double zipper for ease of movement getting in and out of the car, etc., The size range is offered in XS – XXL, and it also comes in black.
I have tried out a lot of coats, y’all, and this has quickly become one of my very favorites. It’s also well-priced for quality outdoor puffers at $180 (and you can use that discount code MOMEDIT25, too!)
Looking For A Cute Vest? This.
I mean, the good keeps getting better. Already set on your coat options for winter? Instead, try out this vest that comes in that same color as my coat above. It’s the same great fabric and slim fit, but big enough for layering over a hoodie or sweater. Again, this great earthy tan is so fun to pair with brighter colors or would look gorgeous with deep reds and purples, too.
And Let’s Not Forget The Shoes!
Merrell Bravada Waterproof Boots & Hut Moc Cozy Slippers Are Made For Outings
Merrell has always had comfortable, quality footwear, and these two finds are no exception. The Bravada Waterproof Knit Polar boot is the one I’m wearing here. They’re cozy, big enough for thick socks, and feel like a sneaker. They come in a couple of other color options, too, and are waterproof, as the name suggests (heh). They’re super-comfy and sturdy without being a stiff hiking boot you have to break in.
These adorable Hut Moc Cozy slippers are lightweight and perfect for sliding on for the drive home while you pop your muddy hiking boots in the back of the car. Great for running errands or out to the mailbox, too. I like that they’re wide enough to wear with thick socks. These make the perfect house shoes, as well, if you like a great rubber sole style slipper.

03 | whisper rain insulated parka: I have trouble finding warm enough rain coats. This looks so promising! Trying it out this week!
04 | alpine tall strap polar waterproof boot: I mean, SO fun. And they come in a light olive option, too.

06 | snowcreek cozy leather polar waterproof: Oh, wow. Wish I had tried these. They’re adorable!
Thank you to Shopstyle and Merrell for sponsoring this post.
